Lo spot è subito diventato un cult, anche perché qualcuno ha avuto la bella idea di chiederne la censura, reputandolo troppo volgare… Non sono d’accordo: la tecnica dell’animazione adottata per realizzate questo commercial, infatti, fa sì che la volgarità sia temperata dalla dimensione fiabesca.</p>

<p>Di fronte alla risposta entusiastica del pubblico, <strong>Perfetti</strong> ha deciso di inaugurare un vero e proprio filone: protagonisti dello spot che passa attualmente in tv sono alcuni <strong>pinguini</strong>, che risolvono in modo singolare il problema dello scioglimento dei ghiacci. In questo caso, viene un po’ a mancare l’effetto sorpresa in quanto la fugace apparizione dello scoiattolo fa presagire la conclusione della vicenda.</p>

L’assunto è che il luogo più accogliente è… quello dove ci si lascia andare alle peggio (parlando d’olfatto) cose! Che dire? Alla Extendeed Stay Hotels il coraggio e l’ironia sicuramente non mancano.</p>

<p>Chevy has recently launched an online microsite promoting their cheap, fuel saving car, the Aveo 5. The site, dubbed "Livin' Large in Aveo 5 College Cab" is an attempt to create viral media for a brand trying to reach further into the college market.</p>
<p>The concept of the site is that Chevy travels around the country visiting different colleges and universities offering free  rides to students in the Aveo 5 College Cab. The students are then filmed inside the car and the videos uploaded to the microsite. The student who does the best job of pushing out their own video has a chance to win the car.</p>
<p>The idea behind this is sound, in my opinion. The method being used in order to get the site to a viral status is interesting. By adding an incentive such as a car, Chevy is empowering users to heavily push people to the site to check out their own video, and obviously Chevy hopes they will stick around a little bit and check out some of the bad-ass features this hatchback has to offer.</p>
<p>So, like I said, the IDEA behind this is sound. It is the execution and direction of the videos that has be a bit concerned as to whether or not this has the potential to be a viral success. The success of this campaign relies upon quality content, and from what I can see so far, the content from the students is pretty dull. The interaction with the cab driver is kind of creepy at times, and it really does not make me want to show anyone, mainly for fear that they would think I was weird for watching it. The whole thing gives off a much more "Taxi Cab Confessions" vibe than the "crazy college kids" vibe that I think they were hoping for.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Olha só texto no <a href="http://www.sadekfarid.com.br/" target="_blank">blog:</a> “DEPOIS DE ANOS PESQUISANDO, FINALMENTE CONSEGUIMOS!!! TEMOS A PROVA CIENTÍFICA DE QUE OS SIRIS REAGEM À MÚSICA.</p>
<p>O experimento 47 foi realizado nas dependências do Laboratório de Pesquisa da Vida Marinha e registrado em vídeo. O siri da espécie Callinectes Sapidus reagiu à música por um período superior a 1 minuto.<br />
Nos primeiros testes, utilizando música clássica, jazz e sertaneja a reação do siri foi negativa e ficou evidenciado que o ritmo e a cadência da música são fundamentais nos resultados.<br />
O espécime, um macho adulto, pareceu preferir ritmos fortes com cadências e batidas regulares como HIP HOP, Rap, Tecno, Samba e Axé. O teste foi inconclusivo em relação ao Pagode.<br />

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ik heb <em>Ikweetalnimeerhoelanggeleden</em> een iPhone 1.1.2 gekocht, zo eentje die je vanuit NY via de iPhone-lijn (NY-BXL) moest laten overkomen om vervolgens te hardwarematig te hacken. Al die tijd loopt hij zonder problemen, ook al is hij al meermaals tegen de grond gesmakt.Van nature uit ben ik een GSM-fetisjist en wil ik dus bijgevolg ook liefst de nieuwste snufjes. In het verleden zijn al mijn pogingen om écht mobiel te worden op een sisser uitgedraaid. Vorige toestellen waren te traag, te log, niet handig in gebruik, etc… Maar sinds ik m’n iPhone heb is alles veranderd. Soit, daar is genoeg over gezegd en geschreven.</p>
<p>Je bent een fetisjist of je bent er geen; de Samsung Omnia had dus redelijk snel mijn interesse gewekt. De eerste iPhone killer was (blijkbaar) opgestaan. Er zijn een paar vitale specificaties die van de Omnia een waardige vervanger zou kunnen maken: 3G, 5 megapixel cam, radio, built-in GPS, DivX codec, MMS, MP3 ringtones, … Je zou voor minder gaan twijfelen, maar ik ben principieel tegen WIN Mobile. Je ziet ook onmiddellijk dat het touchscreen traag reageert en dat surfen niet echt smooth gaat.</p>
<p>Dit kan nooit op tegen het OS van de iPhone die je zo vlotjes laat internetten. Daar zit’m dus het verschil tussen de twee phones.</p>
<p>Dit gezegd zijnde. Wanneer je gsm types Youtubet, krijg je dikwijls unboxing videos in de results. Op de eerste plaats voor de Omnia staat een opmerkelijke viral. Nice one.</p>

E’ da considerare però che non è una questione di nuove funzionalità. Non è infatti solo un fatto di servizi più evoluti, di soddisfazione dei bisogni, bensì di strategia di comunicazione pubblica che solleciti il desiderio di mettersi in gioco: di partecipare a piattaforme web che sappiano fidelizzare e valorizzare il feedback dei cittadini on line, sull’onda del cosidetto multi-stakeholderism (la tendenza ad allargare l’orizzonte tematico raccogliendo molteplici punti di vista). </span></div>

<title><![CDATA[Can't Plan a Viral Campaign]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you're an American Jew, you've probably been forwarded the <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/07/arts/television/07sara.html?_r=1&#38;ref=television&#38;oref=slogin">Sarah Silverman's Great Schlep video</a>.  For those that don't know what schlep means, <a href="http://www.bartleby.com/61/69/S0136900.html">click here</a>.</p>
<p>Silverman's video was financed by the Jewish Council for Education and Research, a PAC. But I have to believe the content was Sarah's genuine feelings about the election put in her very own special way.  I say that because I would bet that Silverman would not agree to be scripted by an outside institution.</p>

<p>What was so good about it?  I think above all else, it's authenticity.  Sarah put her own style, career and personality out on the line to make a point.  Some could argue that they don't agree with her style, but that's not the point I'm making.  The fact that she was so authentic made her viewers feel like she was talking directly to them.  So many younger Jews have grandparents in Florida, and even though she pushes the envelope on acceptability, many can relate to her.</p>
<p>Not to be outdone, two days later I get the response to Silverman's call for convincing Jews' elders residing in Florida to vote for Obama that voting for Obama is not in American Jews' best interest.  The messenger?...Jackie Mason.</p>

<p>Now, I like Jackie Mason, just like I like Sarah Silverman. Mason's video was sponsorsed by <a href="http://www.rjchq.org/">Republican Jewish Coalition</a>.  But Jackie wasn't able to pull off Sarah's viral effort that has been over 7 million times in two weeks.</p>
<p>Why?  I believe that trying to plan a viral video response to an already viral video has fallen flat time and time again.  Look at all the McCain supporters' answers to the Obama supporters' viral successes, like Obama Girl and the "Yes we Can" video.  None of those attempts at a viral response went anywhere.</p>
<p>Let's return to the Jackie Mason video.  The result?  A very bland and not very memorable video.  Let's put it this way, people in my office were talking about Sarah Silverman this morning, not Jackie Mason.</p>
<p>The lesson here is authenticity is key.  Things take off because the message is real and it resonates with people.  Video response that hope to go viral don't have that authenticity and they don't have a voice of their own.</p>
<p>You can't plan to have your marketing be viral.  You can do the best you can to ensure it is easily shareable.  But, we can't lose track that good content and speaking directly to your audience in a way they understand is a key public affairs and communications strategy to success.</p>

 I don't so much like it when people send me impersonal virals, but I actually read this one and though I'd throw it up here. Funny stuff. I have a 3 year old so I can relate. They do say the darnedest things!</p>
<p><strong>"Why We Love Kids"</strong></p>
<p>1) NUDITY</p>
<p>I was driving with my three young children one warm summer evening when a woman in the convertible ahead of us stood up and waved. She was stark naked! As I was reeling from the shock, I heard my 5-year-old shout from the back seat, 'Mom, that lady isn't wearing a seat belt!'</p>
<p>2) OPINIONS</p>
<p>On the first day of school, a first-grader handed his teacher a note from his mother. The note read, 'The opinions expressed by this child are not necessarily those of his parents.'</p>
<p>3) KETCHUP</p>
<p>A woman was trying hard to get the ketchup out of the jar. During her struggle the phone rang so she asked her 4-year-old daughter to answer the phone. 'Mommy can't come to the phone to talk to you right now. She's hitting the bottle.'</p>
<p>4) MORE NUDITY</p>
<p>A little boy got lost at the YMCA and found himself in the women's locker room. When he was spotted, the room burst into shrieks, with ladies grabbing towels and running for cover. The little boy watched in amazement and then asked, 'What's the matter, haven't you ever seen a little boy before?'</p>
<p>5) POLICE # 1</p>
<p>While taking a routine vandalism report at an elementary school, I was interrupted by a little girl about 6 years old. Looking up and down at my uniform, she asked, "Are you a cop?".  "Yes," I answered and continued writing the report. "My mother said if I ever needed help I should ask the police. Is that right?" "Yes, that's right," I told her. "Well, then," she said as she extended her foot toward me, "would you please tie my shoe?"</p>
<p>6) POLICE # 2<br />
It was the end of the day when I parked my police van in front of the station. As I gathered my equipment, my K-9 partner, Jake, was barking, and I saw a little boy staring in at me. "Is that a dog you got back there?" he asked. "It sure is," I replied. Puzzled, the boy looked at me and then towards the back of the van. Finally he said, "What'd he do?"</p>
<p>7) ELDERLY<br />
While working for an organization that delivers lunches to elderly shut-ins, I used to take my 4-year-old daughter on my afternoon rounds. She was unfailingly intrigued by the various appliances of old age, particularly the canes, walkers and wheelchairs. One day I found her staring at a pair of false teeth soaking in a glass. As I braced myself for the inevitable barrage of questions, she merely turned and whispered, "The tooth fairy will never believe this!"</p>
<p>8) DRESS-UP<br />
A little girl was watching her parents dress for a party. When she saw her dad donning his tuxedo, she warned, "Daddy, you shouldn't wear that suit." "And why not, darling?" "You know that it always gives you a headache the next morning."</p>
<p>9) DEATH<br />
While walking along the sidewalk in front of his church, our minister heard the intoning of a prayer that nearly made his collar wilt. Apparently, his 5-year-old son and his playmates had found a dead robin. Feeling that proper burial should be performed, they had secured a small box and cotton batting, then dug a hole and made ready for the disposal of the deceased.<br />
The minister's son was chosen to say the appropriate prayers and with sonorous dignity intoned his version of what he thought his father always said: "Glory be unto the Faaather, and unto the Sonnn, and into the hole he goooes."(I want this line used at my funeral!)</p>
<p>10) SCHOOL<br />
A little girl had just finished her first week of school. "I'm just wasting my time," she said to her mother. "I can't read, I can 't write, and they won't let me talk!"</p>
<p>11) BIBLE<br />
A little boy opened the big family Bible. He was fascinated as he fingered through the old pages. Suddenly, something fell out of the Bible. He picked up the object and looked at it. What he saw was an old leaf that had been pressed in between the pages. "Mama, look what I found," the boy called out. "What have you got there, dear?" With astonishment in the young boy's voice, he answered, "I think it's Adam's underwear!" </p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Esta tarde noche, a eso de las 21.15, mientras cenaba, se nos ha ocurrido poner Cuatro, en concreto El Hormiguero. No es un programa que me emocione especialmente, pero como dice el refrán "a falta de pan buenas son tortas"; para oir problemas, ya los leo en la red, antes de que lleguen a los telediarios nocturnos.</p>
<p>Y ahí estaban estos chiquillos de "Jonas Brothers" en el programa de Pablo Motos. Yo había oido hablar de ellos, cantan bien, son un producto musical salido de la factoría Dysney. Se parecen, en la forma de cantar a los Back Street Boys de hace unos años, pero tienen un algo que los hace diferentes. Se declaran de una forma de pensar y con unos hábitos fuera de la común en la gente que se dedica al mundo de la música.</p>
<p>Dicen que no beben alcohol antes de los conciertos, que llevan un anillo de la pureza (que se ha visto hoy en El Hormiguero), que antes de los conciertos se retiran a modo de "retiro" para rezar con todos los componentes del grupo. Son 3 hermanos. Dicen sus fans más jovencitas que, son monos y con cara de buenos chicos. Y son de New Jersey.</p>
<p>Después de ver su página web en español, he alucinado con este grupo. Venden cd´s a porrones, en tiendas de discos, en Internet, están en las principales redes sociales del mundo, como Facebook (por cierto en su página hay colgadas 4.875 fotografías, 84.000 publicaciones en su Wall, y puedes comprar sus singles desde allí mismo) y MySpaces. Utilizan herramientas al servicio de las redes sociales como Flickr, Bebo o You Tube; tienen su propio canal de TV. Hacen anuncios de cereales Breakfast, y están en los principales portales de música americanos. Venden su música en Itunes, y en portales de música de todo el mundo. Son auténticos 2.0.</p>

<p>Algo que me ha dejado impactado es que esto de ahora en Madrid, es habitual en todo el mundo, llevan vendidos tres discos, y además suenan muy bien, y en sus giras, al menos de momento, sus padres van con ellos a todas partes, al igual que el super guardaespaldas,  que hoy salió en el Hormiguero: Pablo Motos parece una hormiguita al lado de ese tipo. Incluso en algunas ocasiones el "bodyguard" canta con ellos y protagoniza sus videos.</p>
<p>Estos chicos, su familia, la discográfica Hollywood Records, sus asesores, la agencia de publicidad que les asesora, han sabido ver desde el principio donde deben vender sus discos. No sólo en las tiendas físicas, sino en tiendas virtuales como Amazón, ITunes, y vender su imagen, sus camisetas, su merchandising y todo lo que les rodea en las redes sociales, blogs y portales de música. Son un fenómeno social y musical en Estados Unidos y todos los países que visitan. La viralidad de su comunicación es brutal. Por si alguien no vió el programa de hoy en Cuatro, había 5.000 personas a las puertas de los estudios de Cuatro desde las 17.00 horas de la tarde para verles 10 segundos desde una ventana.</p>
<p>No quiero meter el dedo en la llaga, pero nuestros músicos, grupos, la SGAE, Ramoncín, y todos sus chupopteros y correveydiles deberían aprender de gente como Jonas Brothers y muchos otros que se ganan la vida con la música, y ganan dinero, pero sin pasarse con historias de canones o formulas pasadas de moda, para sacar un porrón de euros a los consumidores de música.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Am amazed at how much publicity the Pomegranate Phone (see my previous <a href="../2008/10/03/new-york-video-vs-nova-scotia-creative-uses-of-a-mobile-phone/">New York video vs. Nova Scotia - creative uses of a mobile phone</a> blog) is getting on the web.</p>
<p>To recap, it's a viral marketing campaign from the Nova Scotia government (a body called Come to Life) to attract people/businesses. I didn't post the video before, but I will now. <p>Falls noch nicht bekannt, <a title="interfilm.de/" href="http://www.interfilm.de/">interfilm Berlin</a> und <a title="Zucker.Kommunikation" href="http://www.zucker-kommunikation.de/">Zucker.Kommunikation</a> veranstalten zwischen dem 04. und 09. November das 24. Internationales Kurzfilmfestival Berlin.<br />
Gerade habe ich bei <a title="Spreeblick" href="http://www.spreeblick.com/2008/10/06/viral-video-wahlen-08/">Spreeblick</a> (die das Festival unterstützen) gesehen, dass nun der Kreis der 24 Nominierten für den forward award steht.</p>
<p>Eigentlich wollte ich hier gleich mal den ein oder anderen einbetten, sehe aber davon ab. Könnte mich auch nur schwer entscheiden, da absolut beeindruckende Filme dabei sind. Dabei wird auch augenscheinlich nicht in Kategorien gedacht, vom ernsthaften Anliegen, über humoristisches bis zum Werbefilm ist alles vertreten. It's well-thought out, well planned, and just funny enough to get the point across without being over the top. One of the main elements of the site is a downloadable "letter D" to convert... well, I don't really need to explain:</p>

Check out the site for some more interesting stuff.</p>
