Las personas que utilizamos Linux, nos adaptamos a alguna que otra complicación que surja, como por ejemplo que no podemos instalar Shockwave ya que solo hay una versión para Windows, pero continuamos, habrá muchos obstáculos pero continuamos.

Se que usted si es usuario de Windows, debe estar satisfecho del trabajo que realiza su PC con Windows XP, se que no va a cambiar de idea, a usted le resulta más fácil quedarse con Windows que lanzarse con los ojos cerrados a Linux.

Si usted ve la oportunidad de que ya no quiere seguir con la rutina que tiene su PC con Windows, optará por probar Linux.

Windows es un buen SO, pero tiene sus fallos como cualquier software, nadie es perfecto, ni Linux es perfecto, tiene por ahí algún que otro fallo...

Se que mucha gente le da igual los estándares abiertos, pero es que es algo muy importante, Microsoft se salta las reglas y hace lo que quiere. Cada año saca su propio estándar y lo hace porque quiere hundir a la competencia, lógicamente, Microsoft no es tonto.. se aprovecha de cualquier ocasión para intentar hundir a la competencia.

Para que hablar de Linux, si la mayoría de la gente piensa que es un SO para personas muy avanzadas en conocimientos de PC, mentira, pero eso piensa.

Cada año se intenta mejorar esa imagen, cualquier persona como por ejemplo una Ama de Casa puede utilizar Linux, lo que falta son ganas. Si esta Ama de Casa, dice que esta muy contenta con Windows, pues no va a decidir utilizar Linux, para que si total son lo mismo, pero con alguna que otra diferencia.

Linux siempre ha estado a la sombra de Windows y Mac OS. Viendo como se peleaban por el trono de mejor SO del mundo, lo consiguió Windows utilizando sus armas de monopolio, al igual que lo hizo Apple.

Pero llegó la hora de que Linux entrase en casas, oficinas y cualquier lugar de trabajo. Linux ofrece lo mismo que Windows, lo único es que los empresas de Hardware se olvidan de crear un driver para Linux, hay alguna que otra empresa que se acuerda de Linux, pero la mayoría le dan la espalda.

Por eso Windows está en el lugar que está, casi todos los fabricantes de Hardware le dan los drivers específicos para que su producto funcione de maravilla con Windows.

Por eso Linux, lo utiliza muy poca gente.

I mean shit when I leave from here it look like I'm going some where important and all I'm doing is to go see him and to just sit in the apartment the whole day playing video games.

I was sitting at the bus stop thinking about so much shit it almost brung tears to my eyes. I'm sick of blogging this shit out. If he didn't make it feel like telling him would be a waste of his time listening maybe I would tell him. If he didn't make me feel like my feelings are something not getting so worked up over then maybe I would have enough courage to tell him about himself.

He makes me so damned angry. I never gotten this angry over anyone I've ever been with. This relationship is truly not meant to be. I pictured me telling him to his face that I can't do it any more and that I'm not in love with him any more and just breaking into tears. I never almost cried or gotten this angry over any relationship. EVER.

Being there more often and around him made me see the person for who he really is. Yea yea he tries and what not but it don't last. It only last when I say something and if I keep saying something. But no he don't do it cause it hurts me, he only do it to fill the void. Yea he don't shit to call his own, no money, nothing to show for what he went to school for but I loved him anyway for the personality I thought I knew but I don't any more. I don't know who the fuck he is at all. I thought I didn't know him before; well its beyond that. I never felt so much anger when I half-look at him.

He don't compliment me or nothing, we don't converse like adults. We don't connect. Only on a lets call each other names and bash each other level. Not on an serious level, that shit don't exist. If I was to say that to him, he would say either I would get mad or why don't I say these things? It wouldn't matter because he already got it set in his mind that he know me. Actually telling him the reasons why would fly right over his short ass. I don't get angry all the time.

Lately though, he hasn't been considering nothing of me. This feeling of neglect has a strong hold on me and yes he has been neglecting me this past week and this week.  I only see him so often now. Whats fucked up, I'M THERE! Not over here, but there. He'll stay in the same room with me for five damned seconds but his love of his life, that sad, abuse, poor excuse for a computer beckons him every single minute that he's around. I try to think of things to keep my mind occupied and what not, I try to do things to keep me from getting angry. I try so hard but I can't deny the fact that this relationship is for the birds.

I put my all in the relationships I get in. Even when I have my doubts. i try helping out the best way I can. I try. He don't realize what he has in front of him. He don't care, he only trying to get in where he fit in. With his small ass, thats every where. I can't win, at all. Its either say something and get told you're wrong in all types of ways but one. Or not say anything and feel worse than if you open your mouth. I'm not the one to give up on things like this. Like he say I give up to easily. No the hell I don't, I'm just sick of fighting for affection, attention, love. Cause he say it but I seriously don't believe it. When I hear it, I hear, I hate you, I hurt you, I don't love you. When I read it, its as blank as my face right now. The spark that once was in love with this nigga is gone. I don't even know if I just love him not. I would have to sit and think about that.

He never even told me why he love me or even like me around. I shake my head cause I'm realizing so much shit its sickening. I'm tired, the more I think the more I so ready to give up & now that I've thought about it for the last two weeks or so. Its time to completely forget about him.

I titled this blog that because, I talked to my ex girlfriend through e-mail earlier today. She read my blogs and had a lot to say about them. But not towards me. She would of told him herself but she no longer have a myspace and don't have a IM program. So the only way he'll know what she said is to put it on here. Its the only decent place I can think of to put it at the moment. & Since I still love her, one day I'll let him read this.

You know what Asilee, when you talked about him last yr, you had nothing but good things to say. Until that day you left him. You sounded so happy and was in love. He hurt you so you left. Why you're back with him is not understandable boo. He's hurting my girl, I love you ma' & seeing you like this hurting me bay. I don't understand why you even dealing with niggas. anyway, i actually am off to a wedding.  i've been to 3 since getting here.  haha  it's kinda funny.  they do them a bit differently here, though.  actually, i'm not going to the wedding, only the reception.  but, i better get. 

AND, can you believe that on the rez, they have not yet had their first freeze!!  the past couple years, it's been bitter cold by now.  i'd have the woodstove going in mid-september.  figures that i leave and now there is a perfect october.  oh for some aspens...    thing is, i would take a good hard freeze right about now.  at least i will be more tan than any of you if i ever come back during the winter months.  anyway, just was thinking about that.

Adesso passiamo ad un’altra grande artista: Pink. Infatti in questi giorni è uscito il suo nuovo singolo So What, il cui video, tra MTV e All Music, sta letteralmente infuocando i nostri televisori!!! Il video infatti è molto simpatico e divertente, come d’altronde sono sempre tutti i video di pink. La canzone molto orecchiabile ed energetica e anch’essa è il primo singolo di un nuovo album: Funhouse. K e ne pensate?

Adesso l’ultima nuova canzone. Si tratta di Next Plane Home di Daniel Powter. Per chi non se lo ricordasse si tratta di quel cantante che ebbe un enorme successo con Bad Day qualche anno fa. Next Plane Home è una canzone allegra e molto melodica. Il video è molto semplice; unica nota positiva del video è che verso la fine si può vedere la figlia di Daniel.

Finally! A few weeks ago Paramore released news that they would have a new single on the Soundtrack for "Twilight". Today the single finally made its way to the internet, and we must say, its absolutely awesome. I've had it on loop for the past few minutes and just cant stop listening to it. So the story goes, SNSD are untalented, ugly, and have stupid personalities? Okay so let me get this clear. According to this site: www.standintl.motionforum.com So Nyuh Shi Dae, or SNSD for shortened version, has one fan for every seven anti fans?

That is quite a feet right? I find it insulting. I am a neutral fan of SNSD, liking only like 4 of them, the others can go burn in fire. Let me get this clear: I am not an anti (although I use to be one…I came around though), I like SNSD and their music, and I normally like their outfits, although their stylists should be fired.

I use to anti them like 24/7, but honestly how many times can one person write “I hate SNSD, they have no talent!” I got sick of it and decided to give them another try, and so far it’s been pretty good. 

I find it insulting that S<3nes, are always ALWAYS saying that all the anti’s are just pissed-off ELF, Cassiopeia, WonderFuls and V.I.P! I am all four, and it annoys me beyond hell. Although some of the accusations are true, most are not. Some of the fan clubs above are a little jealous that SNSD got to be close to Big Bang, Super Junior and DBSK. But honestly? The boys are just that, they are BOYS! They need women around them, you have to understand that.

Okay so the story is I was talking to my cousin about it, and she hates Tiffany with a fury, and one of her sisters asked me why so many people hate SNSD. I thought for a moment and didn’t have answer for her. So I decided to give an answer here (:

Biggest reason. They disrespect their sunbae’s (seniors).

Korea is known as a country that holds traditions very firmly, so this translates to the old saying of ‘respect your elders’. Many fans have seen SNSD time, and time again break that rule. This is seen mainly in Tiffany, who likes to disrespect her elders. The main one is when she insulted Shinhwa, and had the audacity to perform one of their songs. Uh, Taeyeon also insulted a sunbae; she called Kangin a retard/idiot live on radio and soon received hundreds of ‘I Hate Taeyeon’ mails. Her mailbox was flooded with SNSD and Super Junior fans alike telling her what an idiot she was! If I am correct, Yoona also insulted S.E.S, the legendary girl band, calling them plastic (this especially enraged many S.E.S fans and more being that S.E.S are legendary and SNSD chose to insult them)

Another reason, many are disgusted at their short shorts and mini-mini-skirts. This is fine right; I mean have you seen Japanese girls? Well they are disgusted at this because of three things; these girls carry an innocent/virgin image, doing heaps and HEAPS of high kicks and jumps and are targeted at pre-pubescent boys and lonely, sex-starved ahjussi’s. Honestly, I feel so lonely being the only SNSD-fanGIRL. Anymore out there? Okay let’s go in order shall we?

1) They carry an innocent/virgin image.

SNSD are known as the cute/pure girls under SM Ent. With CSJH already taking the sexy spot. But you have to be serious with me now, how many girls with cute innocent personalities do you see walking around in shorts that barely cover her butt and shirts that barely cover their chests. It scares me, that at the same time, I kinda like the outfits, just a bit longer though.

2) They do heaps and HEAPS of high kicks and jumps.

Have you seen the ‘Into the New World’ mv? Look me straight in the eye and tell me you don’t feel a tad bit disturb by the number of high kicks involved. It scares me, because as you know from the above statement, their short skirts go up with their legs and you believe what you will see! But it’s okay, most of the time,
because they wear safety pants. And Girls Generation and Kissing U dances. They stand with their legs wide apart an awful lot of times. And they jump so much. I say fire their choreographer and stylist. Keep their hair dresser though :)

3) Targeted at pre-pubescent boys and lonely, sex-starved ahjussi’s.

Yeauh, this on kinda explains itself. I don’t really believe this, but that is what everyone says. And I kinda feel that way. If you have ever visited any Soshi-related sites, or like seen and Soshi performances, all you will see is guys; both young and old, obsessing endlessly over their favourite member, holding pink balloons. And don’t tell me you see any girls because most of the time the girl is holding a blue (for Suju and SHINee) balloon. And is there isn’t a balloon, she normally surrounded by like a million guys.

Because of this, my mom and dad had a fight.
What should I do? Please help me

Personally, S<3nes I ask that you give the other FC’s a break. Stop accusing them for things that aren’t true. And the other FC’s, please stop provoking S<3nes. We don’t need an FC war on our hands, and I am sure we all know who will win that!

Windows 2.0

Apareció en 1987, y fue un poco más popular que la versión inicial. Windows 3.0

En respuesta a la aparición de OS/2 2.0 , Microsoft desarrolló Windows 3.1, que incluía diversas pequeñas mejoras a Windows 3.0 (como las fuentes escalables TrueType), pero que consistía principalmente en soporte multimedia. Más tarde Microsoft publicó el Windows 3.11 (denominado Windows para trabajo en grupo), que incluía controladores y protocolos mejorados para las comunicaciones en red y soporte para redes punto a punto

Windows NT 3.1

Windows NT 3.1 (la estrategia de marketing de Microsoft era que Windows NT pareciera una continuación de Windows 3.1) apareció en su versión beta para desarrolladores en la Conferencia de Desarrolladores Profesionales de Julio de 1992 en San Francisco. Microsoft anunció en la conferencia su intención de desarrollar un sucesor para Windows NT y Chicago (que aún no había sido lanzada). Este sucesor habría de unificar ambos sistemas en uno sólo y su nombre clave era Cairo. (Visto en retrospectiva Cairo fue un proyecto más difícil de lo que Microsoft había previsto y como resultado NT y Chicago no sería unificados hasta la aparición de Windows XP). Las versiones antiguas de Windows NT se distribuían en disquettes y requerían unos elevados recursos de hardware (además de soportar relativamente poco hardware) por lo que no se difundieron demasiado hasta llegar a Windows NT 4.0 y sobre todo a Windows 2000. Por primera vez daba soporte para el sistema de ficheros NTFS.

Windows NT 3.5/3.51

Cabe destacar que la interfaz gráfica de Windows NT 3.5 y Windows 3.51 era la misma que la de sus predecesores, Windows NT 3.1 y Windows 3.1, con el Administrador de Programas. Por otra parte, Microsoft distribuyó un añadido llamado NewShell, cuyo nombre completo es "Shell Technology Preview Update", que no era otra cosa más que una versión Beta de la nueva interfaz gráfica de Windows 95 y NT 4.0, con el botón y menú inicio, pero para Windows NT 3.5x. Su función principal era que los usuarios de Windows evaluaran el nuevo interfaz gráfico, que iba a ser presentado en Windows 95 y NT 4.0, pero como "daño colateral" le daba a Windows NT 3.5x la nueva interfaz gráfica.

Windows NT 4.0

Windows NT 4.0 presentaba varios componentes tecnológicos de vanguardia y soporte para diferentes plataformas como MIPS, ALPHA, Intel, etc. Las diferentes versiones como Workstation, Server, Terminal server, Advancer server, permitían poder adaptarlo a varias necesidades. El uso de componentes como tarjetas de sonido, modems, etc, tenían que ser diseñados específicamente para este sistema operativo.

Windows 95

Microsoft adoptó "Windows 95" como nombre de producto para Chicago cuando fue publicado en Agosto de 1995. Chicago iba encaminado a incorporar una nueva interfaz gráfica que compitiera con la de OS/2. Aunque compartía mucho código con Windows 3.x e incluso con MS-DOS, también se pretendía introducir arquitectura de 32 bits y dar soporte a multitarea preemptiva, como OS/2 o el mismo Windows NT. Sin embargo sólo una parte de Chicago comenzó a utilizar arquitectura de 32 bits, la mayor parte siguió usando una arquitectura de 16 bits, Microsoft argumentaba que una conversión completa retrasaría demasiado la publicación de Chicago y sería demasiado costosa.

Microsoft desarrolló una nueva API para remplazar la API de Windows de 16 bits. Esta API fue denominada Win32, desde entonces Microsoft denominó a la antigua API de 16 bits como Win16. Esta API fue desarrollada en tres versiones: una para Windows NT, otra para Chicago y otra llamada Win32s, que era un subconjunto de Win32 que podía ser utilizado en sistemas con Windows 3.1.; de este modo Microsoft intentó asegurar algún grado de compatibilidad entre Chicago y Windows NT, aunque los dos sistemas tenían arquitecturas radicalmente diferentes

Windows 95 tenía dos grandes ventajas para el consumidor medio. Primero, aunque su interfaz todavía corría sobre MS-DOS, tenía una instalación integrada que le hacía aparecer como un solo sistema operativo (ya no se necesitaba comprar MS-DOS e instalar Windows encima). Segundo, introducía un subsistema en modo protegido que estaba especialmente escrito a procesadores 80386 o superiores, lo cual impediría que las nuevas aplicaciones Win32 dañaran el área de memoria de otras aplicaciones Win32. En este respecto Windows 95 se acercaba más a Windows NT, pero a la vez, dado que compartía código de Windows 3.x, las aplicaciones podían seguir bloqueando completamente el sistema en caso de que invadiesen el área de aplicaciones de Win16.

Tenía también como novedad el incluir soporte para la tecnología Plug&Play. Windows 95 se convirtió en el primer gran éxito de los de Redmond a nivel mundial. La evolución de Internet y la potencia de los equipos, cada vez más capaces, dio lugar a un binomio en el que Intel y Microsoft dominaban el panorama mundial con solvencia. Los fabricantes comenzaban a volcarse en este sistema a la hora de sacar sus controladores de dispositivos y, aunque con algunos problemas por incompatibilidades inevitables, el éxito de la plataforma fue absoluto.

Mas adelante fue lanzada una versión con compatibilidad para USB (1.0) que permitía ejecutarse en computadores (ordenadores) con pocas prestaciones en Hardware. Esta versión salió al mercado en octubre de 1998

Windows 98

El 25 de junio de 1998 llegó Windows 98. Incluía nuevos controladores de hardware y el sistema de ficheros FAT32 (también soportado por Windows 95 OSR 2 y OSR 2.5) que soportaba particiones mayores a los 2 GB permitidos por Windows 95. Dio soporte también a las nuevas tecnologías como DVD, FireWire, USB o AGP. Era novedosa también la integración del explorador de Internet en todos los ámbitos del sistema.

Pero la principal diferencia de Windows 98 sobre Windows 95 era que su núcleo había sido modificado para permitir el uso de controladores de Windows NT en Windows 9x y viceversa. Esto se consiguió con la migración de parte del núcleo de Windows NT a Windows 98, aunque éste siguiera manteniendo su arquitectura MS-DOS/Windows GUI. Esto permitió la reducción de costes de producción, dado que Windows NT y Windows 98 ahora podían utilizar casi idénticos controladores.

Windows 98 Second Edition (SE)

A principios de 1998 se desarrolló este sistema operativo, saliendo al mercado a finales de 1998, cuando Microsoft sacó al mercado Windows 98 Second Edition, cuya característica más notable era la capacidad de compartir entre varios equipos una conexión a Internet a través de una sola línea telefónica. También eliminaba gran parte de los errores producidos por Internet Explorer en el sistema. Esta versión es la más estable de todas las de esta serie, y aún se sigue utilizando en muchos equipos, mejorando en sí dos cosas importantes:

1) El grave error de solicitud de licencia que simplemente se puede dejar pasar por alto en la instalación cuando se copian los archivos con extensión ".CAB" (sin comillas) a la unidad de disco duro de la computadora (CPU u ordenador) en la primera versión de este sistema operativo

2) Se corrigen las extensiones de archivo y aplicaciones para una optimización y mejor administración de memoria virtual, reduciendo así los famosos mensajes de error en pantalla azul.

Windows Millenium Edition (ME)

En 2000 Microsoft introdujo Windows ME, que era una copia de Windows 98 con más aplicaciones añadidas. Windows ME fue un proyecto rápido de un año para rellenar el hueco entre Windows 98 y el nuevo Windows XP, y eso se notó mucho en la poca estabilidad de esta versión. En teoría, Windows 2000 iba a ser la unificación entre las dos familias de Windows, la empresarial y la de hogar, pero por retrasos se lanzó este pequeño avance. En esta versión se aceleraba el inicio del sistema y oficialmente ya no se podía distinguir entre el MS-DOS y el entorno gráfico (aunque aparecieron parches que permitían volver a separarlo como se hacía en versiones anteriores).

Esta versión no traía unidad de proceso de 16 bits y se centró únicamente en la compatibilidad con nuevo hardware de 32 bits. Como consecuencia, sólo funcionaba correctamente con los equipos nuevos que lo tenían instalado, ya que si se instalaba sobre un equipo antiguo (mediante una actualización de software) el hardware de 16 bits era más complejo de configurar, o bien no funcionaba en absoluto.

Cabe destacar que este sistema operativo fue muy poco popular por sus continuos errores y muchas desventajas de uso. Estos inconvenientes hicieron que, salvo en contadas ocasiones, sus usuarios retornaran rápidamente al uso de Windows 98, o bien que dieran el salto a Windows 2000.

Windows 2000

En este mismo año vio la luz Windows 2000, una nueva versión de Windows NT muy útil para los administradores de sistemas y con una gran cantidad de servicios de red y lo más importante: admitía dispositivos Plug&Play que venían siendo un problema con Windows NT.

La familia de Windows 2000 estaba formada por varias versiones del sistema: una para las estaciones de trabajo (Windows 2000 Professional) y varias para servidores (Windows 2000 Server, Advanced Server, Datacenter Server).

Windows 2000 incorporaba importantes innovaciones tecnológicas para entornos Microsoft, tanto en nuevos servicios como en la mejora de los existentes. Algunas de las características que posee son:

Almacenamiento:

• Soporte para FAT16, FAT32 y NTFS.
• Sistema de tolerancia a fallos (RAID) con discos dinámicos (software).

Comunicaciones:

• Servicios de acceso remoto (RAS, VPN, RADIUS y Enrutamiento).
• Nueva versión de IIS con soporte para HTTP/1.1.
• Active Directory.
• Balanceo de carga (clustering)
• Servicios de instalación desatendida por red (RIS).
• Servicios nativos de Terminal Server.

Estos avances marcan un antes y un después en la historia de Microsoft.

Windows XP (eXPerience)

La unión de Windows NT/2000 y la familia de Windows 9.x se alcanzó con Windows XP puesto en venta en 2001 en su versión Home y Professional. Windows XP usa el núcleo de Windows NT. Incorpora una nueva interfaz y hace alarde de mayores capacidades multimedia. Además dispone de otras novedades como la multitarea mejorada, soporte para redes inalámbricas y asistencia remota. Se puede agregar que inmediatamente después de haber lanzado el último Service Pack (SP2), Microsoft diseñó un sistema orientado a empresas y corporaciones, llamado Microsoft Windows XP Corporate Edition, algo similar al Windows XP Profesional, solo que diseñado especialmente para empresas. En el apartado multimedia, XP da un avance con la versión Media Center(2002-2005). Esta versión ofrece una interfaz de acceso fácil con todo lo relacionado con multimedia (TV, fotos, reproductor DVD, Internet...).

Windows Server 2003

Windows Vista

Windows Server 2008

Al igual que su sucesor, Windows Server 2003 se basaba en la última version del SO doméstica publicada. Éste se basa en Windows Vista en cuanto a su interfaz Aero, mucho más amigable y sencilla, y en Windows Server 2003 SP2.

 Windows 7

Se planea que sea la próxima versión de Microsoft Windows, la cual sucederá a Windows Vista. Según Microsoft, Windows 7 será creado bajo un nuevo kernel, para así hacerlo más seguro y rápido. Microsoft asegura que necesitará menos recursos que Windows Vista. Algunas fuentes indican que Windows 7 se terminará de desarrollar a finales de 2009.

A pesar de los rumores recientes de que Windows 7 saldría a la venta en 2009, las últimas declaraciones de Bill Gates vuelven a poner como fecha de salida de este nuevo sistema operativo para 2010, estando disponible en 2009 una versión para Betatesters, y no para el cliente final.

¿Los que use de esa lista? Bueno, si insisten :P . De la lista use MenuetOS (hace un par de años, estoy a punto de probar para ver que hay de nuevo), Haiku (en realidad no use este, pero use BeOS), ReactOS (en una máquina virtual el año pasado. Ojalá se fijaran más en este sistema cuando se quiere realizar otro SO), VisopSYS (alguna vez lo grabe en cd y me puse a jugar -no literalmente-).

Bueno, espero que lean el artículo y prueben alguno y, pueden tomarlo como un favor personal :D , si saben de programación sería muy beneficioso para todos que ayuden al proyecto ReactOS (si quieren librarse de las ataduras de MS Windows).
