Vi har pause nå. Etter nesten en og en halv times jobbing på en oppgave hvor vi skal skrive om et av yrkene man kan utdanne seg ved å gå helse og sosial. Jeg skriver om barne- og ungdomsarbeider, selvom det ikke er det jeg skal bli, men det går fint.

Klasserommet mitt er stort og det har mange store vinduer som viser oss en stor eplehage og en inngjerding hvor det finnes sauer, det er litt koselig egentlig. Ved første øyekast ser det ut som jeg befinner meg utpå landet, men når jeg kikker litt nøyere etter kan jeg se motorveien, en masse biler som kjører på motorveien og et par store bygninger. Landet var visst ikke så landlig allikevel.
Vi sitter i hestesko i klasserommet fremdeles. Det er koselig. Alle sammen ser hverandre, alle sammen kan vinke til hverandre, smile til hverandre, og vi gjør det. Hvorfor? Fordi vi er den koselige klassen, den beste klassen.
Vel, det virker faktisk sånn, for i går begynte mattelæreren vår, Leif, å snakke om at vi var en så glup og bra klasse i forhold til veldig mange andre klasser. Men så tror jeg ikke vi har så veldig stor konkurranse, for han sa også at fordi alle faktisk kom på skolen og hadde kjøpt alle bøkene våre og kom til skolen når den begynte var vi en av de beste klassen. Altså, er det ikke normalt å komme på skolen? Er det ikke normalt å ha kjøpt alle bøkene man skal før fristen? Er det ikke normalt å komme tidsnok til skolen? Det hadde ihvertfall jeg inntrykk av, men så feil kan man ta.

Jaja, nå begynner timen igjen, for nå kom Tove. Da får jeg legge ned bloggen å fortsette på oppgaven min. Jeg er snart ferdig, heldigvis, for jeg har nok av andre ting å konsentrere meg om.
Og dette blogginnlegget ble litt rart og jeg vet egentlig ikke helt hva jeg har skrevet om, men det går fint. Jeg får skrive om noe ordentlig en annen dag, en dag jeg har noe ordentlig å skrive om.

Gestern war ich endlich wieder mal auf der Gasse. Na ja, von „um die Häuser ziehen“ konnte noch keine Rede sein. Wir trafen uns bei besten Wetterbedingungen in einer Gartenbeiz, Stefan, Ulrich und ich. Seit achtzehn Jahren kennen wir uns und genau solange sind wir Freunde und verlassen uns geschäftlich und privat aufeinander. Damals haben wir 130 Millionen Frankinen die feste äussere und innere Hülle einer Privatbank annehmen lassen. Uli, der jüngste von uns darum auch Junior genannt, war der oberste Boss der Projekts und unser direkter und einziger Vorgesetzter. Steff wurde Monsieur genannt und meine Wenigkeit nannte mann Bausau. Gut die meisten Handwerker verzichten auf den ganzen Ausdruck und beschränkten sich auf die letzte Silbe. So war’s auf alle Fälle eines wüsten Tages auf die Liftwände gesprayt: Stefan du Idiot - Paul du Sau! Den Idioten hat Steff bis heute noch nicht überwunden, ich freue mich immer noch an der Sau, darum erzähle ich es so gerne. Nach Abschluss der Aufgabe zerstreute es uns in alle Winde, wie das Leben halt so bläst. Nur, wir fanden uns auf privater Ebene regelmässig, auf geschäftlicher Ebene ab und zu wieder.

Im Laufe des Abends vernichteten wir Filets vom Branzino, (hier) Kalbs- und Schweinesteaks vom Grill. Natürlich nicht ohne vorher genüsslich einen Apéro einfliessen zu lassen. Ah klar, zum Essen brauchten wir noch eine Flasche Mineralwasser, hmm neben dem ausgezeichneten Barbera d’Asti, den wir nur tranken, weil Mann das so halt tut. Käse gab es zum Dessert, kein Digestiv aber einen wunderbaren Espresso als Magenschliesser.

Ziemlich schnell stellten wir fest, dass unsere Serviertochter (na, die Bedienung halt) ein Zungenpiercing (hier) installiert hat. Nun gingen die Spekulationen los, ob ein Zungenschlag mit dem Metall gegen die Eichel Lust oder Leiden auslöst. Was, wenn sich der Weisgoldknopf unter der Vorhaut verheddert. Bist du Gefangener, Lustsklave oder mutierst du unfreiwillig zum Masochisten. Fragen über Fragen und keine Antwort sonder nur Gelächter.

Ja und weil wir uns der Umstände wegen schon fast dreiviertel Jahre nicht mehr gesehen hatten, packten wir die alten Witze aus und Stellten fest, dass die „Rodeostellung“ (hier) immer noch am meisten Gegröle auslöst. Tausendmal gehört, immer noch Spitzenreiter, wenigstens gestern Abend. Die drei gepflegten Damen am Nebentisch reden nur französisch, keine Reaktion auf unsere flegelhaften Reden und zeigen uns damit, dass sie:           
a) nichts verstehen wollen und  
b) uns unseren Spass voll und ganz gönnen.

„Au revoir Mesdames“ verabschieden wir uns von ihnen und: „Merci de votre compréhension“ darf natürlich nicht fehlen. Sie schenken uns drei bezaubernde Lächeln und ein paar nette Worte. Als sie schon auf der Ausgangstreppe sind bemerkt eine von ihnen im gepflegtesten Baseldytsch zu den andern: „Sie bleiben halt immer irgendwie in der Pubertät (hier) stecken“. Damengekicher und die Antwort: „Trotzdem ganz nett, die drei bösen Buben“. „Vielleicht sehen wir sie ja mal wieder“, meint die Dritte zum Thema. Das wir drei das alles noch mitbekommen ist offensichtlich Progamm der Killerladys.

„Würdest Du eine dieser Frenchgirls flachlegen“, fragt Monsieur den Junior? „Nein, sicher nicht“, gibt der zur Antwort: „Die Jüngste ist ja bloss etwa zehn Jahre jünger als ich.“ „Das richtige Liebesvergnügen beginnt doch erst bei zwanzig Jahren Wurfdifferenz.“ „Achtzehn“ höre ich meine Liebste im Geiste sagen und lächle still in mich hinein.

Aufbruchstimmung, es ist kühl geworden und Steff, unseren Senior, zieht es heimwärts. Wir zahlen, verlassen den Garten und verabschieden uns, uns schulterklopfend umarmend. Die letzten Sprüche fallen, anschliessend fahre ich Stefan nach Hause. Sobald ich alleine bin rufe ich meine Liebe an. Tut wohl, sie zu hören. Irgendwann werde ich ihr das mit der steckengebliebenen Pubertät wohl beichten müssen, falls sie es nicht schon weiss.

Several comments that I have seen on The South American Union and Hugo Chavez showing his true stripes, and elsewhere, have inspired me to write this up. Let's take a look at Hugo Chavez, the great "liberator"....

The most common response you get when you question Hugo Chavez's motives is that he has done much for the poor. I don't like the tiny elite which has been leeching off the fruits of the backbreaking labor of the South American masses for centuries. However, when you gain something through violence or theft, such as taking in that manner the land that the Venezuelan oligarchs held, it lowers the roof on what can be allowed to be done to anyone else. People must appreciate the fact that since these people's land has been taken away from them, it opens the door for all Venezuelan freedoms to be taken away. This is a classic Illuminati tactic. When you want to start up controlling all the people, you first target an unpopular or hated minority, and then you slowly but surely inch forward into repression of more mainstream people such as small business owners, middle income earners, and teenagers. Much of the public, including those who read conspiracy sites, by and large, seem to have little knowledge of intrigue or tactics, or even any interest in studying these topics. The Illuminati know that the South Americans know they want to control them. That is one of the reasons communism/socialism was created, as David Icke, Alex Jones, and Antony Sutton have documented. It's to con the slaves back onto the plantation. And since most people, to some degree, give their minds over to whoever puts themself up as authority and never hold in their minds the truth that leadership positions are always gravitated to by the corrupt who develop great acting skills to that end, the agenda, up till the present day, has largely been wildly successful.

A little advice to young people, don't join any of those anarchist or communist groups. The controlled intelligence agencies and the cops always find those, infiltrate their people in as the leaders, steer the members natural desire for freedom towards violence, and use them for their purposes. You will only end up fighting for the Illuminati's freedom. If it doesn't involve peaceful, nonviolent nonparticipation, it won't be effective because if you come at them with a uzi, they'll come at you with a swat team. You come at them with an army, they'll drop a nuke. If everyone stood up together one day and said they wouldn't pay a cent in taxes, and didn't care about the consequences, what could the Illuminati do? Kill them? Then they'd have nobody to control. That's why every week you see on TV every so often the stories of Black on White or Mexican on whoever violence. It's to maintain the division by any means possible and prevent just this outcome, which is their worst nightmare.

Here are some examples of cops caught red handed engaging in agent provacateur activity.

There were plenty of ways to get the land peacefully. Tax incentives, generous buy offers, so many things. They must demand that the criminality never be allowed to go beyond what it already has, because they, down the road, will end up being the victims of that same violence they thought would forever be exclusively to their own benefit. Chavez last year tried to amend the constitution to be president for life. Does this sound like freedom to any of you?

The Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez has anointed himself president for life by proposing sweeping changes to the country's constitution.

Setting out his plans for completing his socialist revolution in the oil-rich Latin American nation, he proposing radical constitutional reform which has at its centre indefinite re-election for himself.

In a rambling televised speech reminiscent of his close ally and friend Fidel Castro, Mr Chavez told the national assembly of 33 changes he plans to make to the constitution he introduced in 1999 which will cement his grip on power.

"We have broken the chains of the old, exploitative capitalist system," said Mr Chavez. The state now has the obligation to build the model of a socialist economy."

Oh? I guess he means a Russia or China style socialist economy. Yeah, real chain breaking there. Label it whatever, but the agenda is always the same. Control. He has the farmers working on collective farms now. Which are state controlled, as the New York Times article reports. That's the big trick. You own the land, but you don't control it. Big State does. They have nowhere near the oppressive circumstances as a China or a Soviet Russia yet of course, but, just look at the company he keeps. An energy alliance with Russia, a country synonymous with everything police state, whose agents definitely killed the Russian spy Litivenko and all those reporters who expose the corruption of Putin. He speaks glowingly of his friend Fidel Castro, him and his family living in luxury while the vast majority of the Cuban people live in fear of him and the people always have much less food than they should. An ally of Iran, a country with numerous dress, free speech, and internet restrictions. He is a supporter of Daniel Ortega, the President of Nicaragua. Remember him? Ex-Sandinista leader? Mass killings? He's also best buds with Robert Mugabe, who rules with an iron fist and has brought starvation and poverty to Black and White alike to Zimbabwe, a country which, by virtue of its natural resources at the least, should have one of the highest standards of living in the world. Chavez has called Mugabe a great freedom fighter. Oh it's so funny.

Another person commented that red is the color of freedom fighters. You ever asked yourself why that is? No, man. The Illuminati love the color red not just because it is the color red, but because it represents a specific vibrational frequency. The meaning of red colorwise is that of the base instincts, anger, frustration, sexuality, survival instincts and fury. This are all the aspects of the reptilian brain. The Illuminati mind right there. Obsessed with sex and surviving and filled with hate and anger. And I can see the Spanish speakers shaking their heads, automatically editing out what I've wrote without checking the facts. Do you know what the Illuminati thinks of you? American Free Press reported about how the European elite who have ruled Mexico in an unbroken line since colonial times, calls the Mexican illegal immigrants "their secret cockroach army". You and him both look pretty reptilian, now that I think about it. Venezuela's still owned by Spain. Chavez is just the puppet put in to rule on their behalf. People will accept the fact that the US is the only one involved in the conspiracy, but you mention their home countries, it's instant shutdown. "I don't see how this guy could be Illuminati when he's against this, or being attacked by..."

From my research, Planet Earth is dominated by a group of families or factions, making and breaking alliances at times, and each having differing levels of clout in world affairs based on the outcomes of the wars they have had amongst themselves over the millenia, using the people as their pawns. The Rothschilds are one of them, and have a large degree of influence, controlling the country of Israel through Zionism and various minions, and several others. Another seems to be the Windsors, and I've read references by Stewart Swerdlow to a Yakuza and North Korea controlling Yamato line of Japan, and a Romanov line controlling Iran and Russia. Perhaps Cuba too, due to Russian involvement there. That would mean that when there is a flap about a country being a rogue state, it would just mean that particular nation is the object of a power grab by the USA controlling Windsors or the Israel controlling Rothschilds, and rogue state is just a cover story agreed upon by all involved to hide what is really going on.

The official story about how the United States "won" the Revolutionary War is garbage. Only 3% of the whole colonial population fought. Sure, they were great guerilla fighters, but the European colonial powers were brutal and greedy and utterly ruthless in pursuit of money and natural resources, and still are, albeit in a different way. The USA has vast amounts of natural resources. It is like fighting a war against a vicious enemy who is famous for doing anything to win, and then one day just walks away and says, "you can have this territory"! The people fighting this enemy would naturally be confused and suspicious. Yet this is, to a tee the story presented as fact in the history books. Harold Brooks-Baker, the publishing director of Burke's Peerage, the encyclopedic bible of aristocratic genealogy, said in 2004 that every single president has been closely related to European royalty. Obama is a 10th cousin once removed of George W. Bush, and McCain is the 6th cousin of Laura Bush. And George W. Bush is the 13th cousin once removed of Queen Lizard II of England. George II's mom's maiden name was Barbara Pierce, as in Franklin Pierce. Direct descent. Why is this? Because the pullout by the colonial powers was a con job to fool the disgruntled public while they left the royal bloodlines (Washington, Bolivar, Mandela) as viceroys and the secret society networks behind as their eyes, ears, and hands to manipulate these bloodlines into power and carry out other aspects of the agenda. That's why you see the top dogs in banking, politics, the military, and entertainment all can claim close blood links with European royalty, and why there is such a high ratio of people in these top positions that are secret society initiates compared to those who aren't. Simon Bolivar was a mason, initiated in Spain. Admitted by Canadian masons. For you, South Americans.

And a couple more things about Chavez. He came out with an idea to create a Bank of the South to "counter the IMF and World Bank". This is planned to evolve into the South American Central Bank, similar to the EU central bank. And I bet Chavez will soon introduce the idea to have a single South American army and currency. To fight off the US, of course. He's probably shooting for South American president or some other top position in there. So easy. Get the US military to make threatening gestures, leak the fact that they were involved in planning the coup to get Chavez out, and as long as the masses don't question why he wasn't killed or put under house arrest or something, when those carrying out the the coup had the perfect opportunity to do so, then the Illuminati planned Union of the Americas is good to go.

Hvordan kan vi vite at dette er sant og at ikke situasjonen er sant ?

Har du sett på hvordan rovdyr jobber når de skal angripe en flokk med f.eks sau ? Først sikter de seg inn på det individet i flokken som er svakest, det individet som er sykt eller ser ut til å være litt utenfor flokkens indre kjerne. Når de så får jaget det individet bort fra flokken, så slår de til og angriper og dreper. Om dette individet i flokken hadde sett på sannheten, som er at han har en stor flokk med med sauer som kan hjelpe han, så hadde han ikke trengt å bli pint ihjel og drept av rovdyrene. Men istedenfor velger han å se på situasjonen ( i dette tilfellet rovdyrene ) fremfor sannheten.

Bibelen forteller oss i 1.Peters brev at djevelen går rundt som en brølende løve og ser etter noen han kan oppsluke. Slik rovdyrene jobber, slik jobber også djevelen. han ser etter det mennesket som lever på avstand fra Gud, det mennesket som ikke er frelst, det mennesket som er frelst men som er iferd med å gli vekk fra Gud og tilbake i synd eller bare er iferd med å gli vekk fra  Gud. Så flekker han tennene sine og brøler det høyeste han kan og slynger alt han har av løgner mot dette mennesket han har sett seg ut. Løgner som sier at dette mennesket ikke er noe verdt, at dette mennesket er forlatt av Gud, at Gud ikke finnes, at kristne er bare hyklere, at bibelen ikke er sann, at ingen menigheter er god nok å gå i, at noen predikanter er forferdelige mennesker osv. osv. I seg selv har ikke djevelen makt til å få noen til å tro på løgnene han slenger mot mennesker, men når mennesker velger å reagere som sauen og se på rovdyrene fremfor sannheten, så får djevelen makt over det mennesket enten det er et kristent eller et ufrelst menneske. Og om djevelen først får makt over det mennesket, så kan det mennesket bli både pint, plaget og kanskje forført så langt bort fra sannheten i Guds ord og Guds menighet på jorden at han til sist går fortapt i synd fordi han er blitt døv for sannheten og blitt ledet inn i synd igjen.

Så derfor er det så utrolig viktig at vi ser på sannheten, og ikke på situasjonen. Og sannheten er at Jesus er der, selv om det virker som om Han ikke er der. Og nettopp fordi Han er der, og du velger å se på Han og la Han lede deg gjennom dødskyggens dal, så vil Han lede deg i trygghet til de grønne engene på andre siden hvor du finner hvile uten at djevelen får makt over deg. Så om du er i en situasjon nå hvor det virker som om Jesus har forlatt båten for å la deg være igjen og synke i bølgene, så må du IKKE tro på at Han har forlatt deg. Du må IKKE tro på djevelen som slenger løgner mot deg nå i håp om at du skal bli ledet vekk fra sannheten, vekk fra Jesus, i håp om at du skal gi han makt over deg så han til sist kan lede deg til fortapelsen og forføre deg inn i synd. Se IKKE på djevelen og hans løgner, selv om det virker som det er sannhet. SE PÅ JESUS OG SANNHETEN, HAN VIL ALDRI NOEN GANG SVIKTE FORDI HAN ER SANNHET.

Men hvordan kan vi vite at det er sant at Jesus er der selv om det virker som om Han ikke er det ? Vi kan vite det fordi Guds ord forteller oss det.

Vi leser i Rom 8:31-35 at ingenting kan skille oss fra Jesu Kjærlighet, og Gud er for deg. Og når Gud er for deg, og ingenting kan skille deg fra Kristi kjærlighet, så kan ingen angst, ingen ensomhet, ingen økonomiske problemer, ingen sykdom, INGENTING kan skille deg fra Kristi kjærlighet. Og når Kristi kjærlighet er med deg, og Gud er FOR DEG. Så VIL Gud at du skal bli berget ut fra den situasjonen du er i i dag. Men DU MÅ se på dette og TRO dette, ikke hva djevelen prøver å overbevise deg om.

Da..og bare da vil du pg.a Kristi kjærlighet komme igjennom de prøvelsene du står i pr.av i dag.

Må Gud velsigne deg rikelig og la deg kjenne at du er elsket og at Herren er med deg.

Til sist...til deg som er ufrelst....hvorfor hører du på djevelens løgner ? Hvorfor lar du rovdyrene skille deg fra sannheten og ut i mørket hvor de får makt over deg ? De vil deg ikke noe godt vet du, bare ondt. Men Gud vil deg noe godt om du vil bli i sannheten, om du vil bli frelst og bli et Guds barn.

Frank L.: Zum Glück war es in diesem Fall nur eine Wachsfigur, die einem frustrierten Selbstdarsteller zum Opfer fiel. Das erinnert ganz fern an die Missionare im Mittelalter: Als Vernunft und oder Glaube nicht mehr funktionierten, einigte man sich auf Mission der Infideles per gladium: umstandsdeutsch gesprochen: Überzeugen durch Kopf ab. Funktioniert vice versa aber auch.

Kochblog-Event des Kochtopf-Blogs aus, das Thema ist Hausmannskost 2.0 angemessen, denn es geht um die Sau: Sau-gut (heute also auch ein Saubloggen am Mittwoch). Da viele meiner Leser eher in der Weinrallye geübt sind, möchte ich kurz die Unterschiede erklären. Zuerst einmal richtet ein Blog (jetzt Hausmannskost) zwar das Event aus, aber Ankündigung und Zusammenfassung veröffentlicht der Veranstalter nicht bei sich, sondern im Kochtopf-Blog. Ferner gibt es nicht einen genauen Tag, an dem der Beitrag online gehen muss, sondern einen Stichtag, bis zu dem die Geschichte erschienen sein soll (15. Juli). Schließlich besitzt die Kochrallye nicht ein Logo für alle Themen, sondern für jedes Event ein anderes:

Für die reinen Weinblogger zur Info: In der Ankündigung habe ich angeregt, dass, wer mag, einen Wein zum Schwein vorzustellen kann. Vielleicht findet Ihr in den Texten auch die eine oder andere Inspiration. Im Lebensmittellexikon, das ich in meiner Ankündigung bei Kochtopf erwähne, gibt es auch ein Kapitel Wein und Speisen.

"En sau?", tenker du sikkert. Hva skal man med en sau? Vel, rettelse; det er riktignok ikke en sånn type levende sau. Det er et lite kosedyr av en sau. Joda, jeg er riktignok18, men det lille barnet lever fortsatt i meg og gleden ved å se denne lille sauen på boksdøren til hesten min sammen med verdens søteste lille kort gjorde virkelig kvelden min. Jeg har virkelig herlige mennesker rundt meg!

This is the last blog that I'm required to write for my digital media class. I have to say that I've really enjoyed writing about this topic. Reliving my memories and sharing my stories has been a lot of fun. I'm not sure how healthy it's been though. See I'm one of those people completely guilty of living in the past. What I'm doing today is never as good as what I did yesterday. It's a chronic disorder I've got going on. My fiance always reminds me that I reminisce instead of living my life for what it is at the moment. He's right. Sometimes I need to remember to take my head out of the mental photo albums of "the good ole days" and start realizing that I'm LIVING the times that will be my memories tomorrow. This blog is going to take a little bit of a different pace than the others. I decided to be a little more introspective than usual and answer a few questions I've been getting. So here it goes.

Why was I in Prague?

That story starts in a really sad way, actually. The guy I was dating at the time (and who I'm currently engaged to) and I broke up for about a month. My life took a major league dip and it was all I could do not to turn everything on its head. I was depressed, to say the least. I decided that I needed a year away. I had a friend doing some mission work in Prague at a school teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) and that sounded perfect for me. I'm an English major and though I'm fully aware that literature and English as a language are two completely different subjects, I figured I knew enough to be ok. Plus the people at the school encouraged me that they took any body and would train us all there. I signed up and even after I got back together with my boyfriend I was still pumped to go... so I went.

What exactly did you DO there?

Basically it was indentured servitude or paid slavery or whatever you want to call it. It was terrible. The classroom was phenomenal. I've never been more comfortable in my own skin than when I stood in front of my students and imparted knowledge to them. It was everything else that drove me crazy. I was there as a student missionary so I was in charge (along with 10 others who were there with me) of teaching all my classes, organizing church and sabbath school, Bible studies, cooking for potluck, grading, editing textbooks, etc etc etc. I really could go on forever. Prague was a beautiful backdrop, but I was honestly inside for 70% of my stay there. It was NOT a vacation. haha. I encourage going out for a mission year whole-heartedly, but if you're looking for a paid vacation you might try one of the islands. I hear that's a bit more lax. :)

Who are these roommates/flatmates you're always talking about?

Ok that's fair. I mention these people a lot in my posts and I suppose you're all probably curious as to who they are. They were other students just like me who came from all over the U.S. to do just what I was doing. There were six of us from Southwestern Adventist University (Austin, Ky, Eliseo, Aleksis, one of the Andys, and me), two from Walla Walla (Chelsea & Montana), one from Texas Tech University (Kristin), one from Southern (Missy) and one from Union (another Andy). Originally there were twelve of us, but two left and one new one came, so in the end we were the "faithful eleven", as our boss called us.

What was your ACTUAL favorite part of Prague?

Considering you won't all have the experience I had, I can't say the people, though they were my absolute favorite things about being in Prague. You won't get to live with the people I lived with and you won't get to laugh with the people I laughed with, so you won't get to experience my truly FAVORITE thing about last year. However, have no fear. Prague still has plenty of amazing things to offer. My favorite thing was simply the atmosphere. Taking walks in that city provides a euphoria all its own. And it never gets old. I could've walked for hours every day and seen the same things over and over and still have felt completely wonderful every time. If, no WHEN, you go to Prague be sure to take walks. Just wander. It's great. Seeing the castle in the distance, crossing the bridge, dodging horse-drawn carriages in Old Town Square, it's all great.

Writing this blog may have taken me on an unhealthfully lengthy trip down memory lane, but I'm so grateful that it's reminded me how lucky I am to have had the opportunity that I did to experience all this. I'll say it one last time: take the opportunity to live inor even just visit, Europe at some point. You'll never ever regret it.

BRASILIA: South America is thinking of creating a common currency and a central bank along the lines of those in the European Union’s eurozone, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said yesterday.
The idea is a logical next step following the signing last Friday of a treaty creating a Union of South American States that aims to promote joint regional customs and defense policies, Lula said during his weekly radio broadcast.
“Many things still haven’t been realised. We are now going to create a Bank of South America. We are going to move forward so in the future we’ll have a single central bank, a common currency,” he said.
But, he added: “This is a process. It won’t be something that happens quickly.”

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela all signed up to the Unasur treaty creating the regional union during a ceremony in Brasilia last Friday.
The entity’s goal is to bring together two trade blocs within South America, Mercosur and the Andean Community, and to integrate the region.

South America Creates Regional Union, Parliament

23/05/08 "-- BRASILIA, Brazil (AP) - A new South American union was born Friday as leaders of the region's 12 nations set out to create a continental parliament.

Some see the new organization, Unasur, as a regional version of the European Union. Summit host Brazil wants it to help coordinate defense affairs across South America and Venezuela's Hugo Chavez calls it a counterweight to the United States.

''The number one enemy of the union of the south is the empire of the United States,'' Chavez said after arriving in Brazil's capital. ''It's very elementary: divide and conquer.''

The socialist crusader said the United States was ''trying to generate wars in South America and tries to halt advances in the this project.''

Brazil's president, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, invited other Latin American and Caribbean nations to join the venture. ''Unasur is born, open to all the region, born under the signs of diversity and pluralism,'' he said.

But South American leaders still found their own reasons for division.

Unasur's first secretary-general, Rodrigo Borja, resigned Thursday, before the organization was formally born. He complained that some leaders had balked at his vision of putting other regional trade blocs, including Mercosur and the Andean Community, under Unasur's authority.

The union's inaugural meeting was moved from Colombia after that nation raided a guerrilla camp in Ecuador, sparking a crisis in regional relations. The gathering, now in Brasilia, is meant to formally establish an organization first proposed at a 2004 summit in Peru.

Experts say Unasur could ease future political tensions, promoting development on a continent where intra-regional trade topped US$72 billion (euro54.6 billion) in 2006.

South America's economy is expected grow by 4.7 percent this year, according to the U.N.'s Economic Commission on Latin America. It grew 5.7 percent in 2007, when foreign direct investment reached a record US$106 billion (euro72 billion) as global demand for the region's natural resources soared.
