Both of these initiatives will assist families that have relatives with disabilities.  The RRSP rollover provides another option for families in making sure our relatives are financially secure after our deaths.  As a strong advocate for the RDSP, PLAN is pleased with this proposal.  It will make the RDSP more useful for more families because for many of us, our RRSPs are our largest assets, next to our homes.

I know many families where one of the parents does not work because they must care for a relative.  In some families the working parent even has to work at more than one job.  This will make it a lot easier for them to make ends meet. In today's world it can be difficult for a family to manage on one income.

I trust this is the start of a discussion among all political parties on how to assist Canadian families.  We are the backbone of supports for our children, dependent sons and daughters and, ever-more frequently, our parents.

In response to owners' concerns following discussion on on-line forums about the driving dynamics of Fortuner vehicles, Toyota SA has launched an investigation in regards to these concerns.

Toyota SA always take customers' concerns seriously, and is therefore investigating all possible causes that might have lead to these anxieties. However, initial findings suggest it is centered on driver experiences in very specific corrugated dirt road conditions.

Based on this each case of customer dissatisfaction will be dealt with on a one-to-one basis whereafter a decision will be made by Toyota SA pertaining to that specific case. The aim is to find the best solution for each individual Fortuner owner, which could include the fitment of a new specification tyre, depending on the driving conditions they experience.

The new specification tyre addresses driver apprehension caused by steering feedback in very specific corrugated road conditions and was initiated upon Toyota’s request to Continental.

Toyota SA would like to emphasize that the original General Grabber AW 265/70R16 specified for the Fortuner meets and fulfills all technical and quality requirements.

Concerns from Fortuner owners channelled through the customer care centre or dealers must be dealt with in accordance with the bulletin circulated by Toyota SA's technical department.

Important note: In all cases it must be made clear that the fitment of the new specification Continental tyres in appropriate cases will be done as a sign of goodwill and customer satisfaction and is above and beyond Toyota's legal obligations owed to its customers.

You'd think that because more than a third of all highway fatalities happen in rollover crashes, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) would be doing everything they could to prevent these tragic deaths. But while the last three decades have witnessed state-of-the-art upgrades in nearly every aspect of vehicle design, from ergonomic seats to fuel efficiency, the federal roof strength standard remains virtually unchanged since the early 1970s.

Watch our press conference that will demonstrate the inadequacy of NHTSA's static test compared to footage of a test that reproduces real-world conditions via live Webcast at 12 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at the Center for Auto Safety home page.

Instead of requiring a dynamic test that reproduces the real-world conditions of a rollover crash, NHTSA lets automakers get away with an inaccure and unreliable static test. So Public Citizen has teamed up with the Center for Injury Research and the Center for Auto Safety to hightlight the dramatically difference between the results of this embarrassing, outdated testing system compared with the results of a dynamic test, the Jordan Rollover System test (see video above).

Why is it so important to reproduce real-world conditions? Among other reasons, a repeatable dynamic test allows testers to observe what happens to crash-test dummies during these crashes so auto engineers can improve structural strength and save lives. Now, as we all know, a lot of people were riding others credit reports to get that house, condo, or apartment to live in.  I bet you a nickel they are going to find mass fraud -- ie -- stolen social security numbers used and the like.  They will also see the loopholes that creative folks used to obtain different things and expound on them like you won't believe -- instead of trying to close the damn loophole. 

I've been saying it -- the credit system does not work.  How many of you follow your credit report ??? I do once a year -- guess what -- time to review came up -- I have something ever bad on there and I will find who has taken it and used it.  Time to get police reports filed.  Time to get calls in to local governments/county to see if someone registered a car.  Time to get a whole mess fixed due to loopholes -- Wow -- AT least I won't rollover, I'm gonna fight it. 

Overall - Let's see what happens with the government take over of the properties.  Ha! Gonna sell them to other govenments to pay back debts?? Kind of like with the different tolls booths and bridges -- etc. etc. ---going back to America is a big yardsale.  Ha!
