[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="265" caption="..."][/caption]

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="350" caption=".."][/caption]

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="400" caption="..."][/caption]

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="475" caption=".."][/caption]

Size yardim etmekten memnun oluruz.
O onunuze gelen yazilar Linux' un kernelinin
yuklenmesi sirasinda gecen yazilardir. Buraya kadar hersey
normal.
takarsiniz ( /etc/lilo.conf ' u editlemeyi unutmayin tabii.)
Eger problem bu degilse listeye tekrar yazmaktan cekinmeyiniz.
Saygilarimla

A music player should serve to enhance the pleasure of how you perceive, collect, and connect with your music collection. When I used to use Macintosh computers, I exclusively used iTunes as it came directly installed with my iBook. I appreciated the ease of use, while not caring at all about the design of the interface. It was easy to use and neatly organized. That made me happy. Several years later (and several broken Macintosh computers later), I sensed a lack in the iTunes environment; a sterility and heartlessness. Looking for alternatives, I came across Songbird, which I still use on one Windows computer. The add-on features of Songbird were appealing to me. Giddy was the day when I found I could listen to music, write blog posts and watch Youtube videos all at the same time from within Songbird. However, that thrill faded as I began to yearn for a music player that was simply a music player and nothing more. I wanted simplicity. I wanted an application that would help pull my attention to the music, provide a beautiful and clean environment for listening and be neatly organized.

Jumping forward to 2007, I began running Ubuntu Linux and was impressed with the wide variety of music players available, all open-source and all varied in design and functionality. The Ubuntu Linux music players that I have used include the following:

1. Amarok
2. Audacious
3. Banshee
4. BMPX
5. Banshee
6. Exaile
7. Juk
8. Kaffeine
9. Rhythmbox

Of the above-listed nine players, and writing this now in 2008, only two have thoroughly impressed me and gave me that warm fuzzy feeling that has a tendency to get lost in listening to a music "file." The first one, which I appreciate is "Audacious." Audacious, with its simple light interface provides all I need to allow the music to come forth from the player, to lose the player. It doesn't bog me down and it creates a nice atmosphere from which to simply listen. The second, apparently made by the same folks (correct me if I'm wrong) is BMPX. With BMPX, it seems that strict attention was paid to both the form and function of the player; the player comes alive. The typeface that the designers chose is sleek and clear, while the design is easy to manage and appealing. Everything seems to fit just right. Also, it makes adding your LastFM account a breeze and allows an easily accessible internet radio browsing function. Through applications like Audacious and BMPX, one is able to regain the sense of magic that comes with listening to music. Granted, listening to music files is definitely not the same experience as listening to a nice piece of vinyl or a cassette tape, but these programs provide a nice alternative for those of us who have amassed a large collection of music files and seek out a worth player, a player that will satisfy us.

Of course, my tastes and your tastes differ. I hope you find the best music player for your listening pleasure. Thank you for reading.

It was an unusual day at the UP Theater and UP FIlm Institute. It
was jam packed with student delegates from all over the Philippines for
the first day of the Philippine Youth Congress for Information Technology or Y4IT. Delegates overflowed some delegates from the Theater to the Film Institute.

Sen. Kiko Pangilinan was the keynote speaker for the day. He talked about his IT
experiences connected with his personal life and his kids being good at
IT and gadgets.

Mikaela Irene Fudolig, the youngest summa cum laude graduate of BS Physics, enumerated some problems with Linux in a consumer’s point of view. Linux is an open source and it’s free, so anyone can avail it but people still prefer commercialized software such as Windows. The latter is much simpler than the open sources which are too complicated for a non-IT enthusiast and/or professional. Linux must be easier to use, to understand, and more convenient so that everybody could adapt and apppreciate linux just as they do at Windows.

Followed by Ms. Fudolig’s talk was Prof. Rommel Feria’s talk about the
future of operating systems such as Linux, Mac, Windows, Solaris, etc.
The talk was somehow an almost reply to Ms. Fudolig’s discussion on
Linux.

Mr. Winston Damarillo, Managing Director of Global
Gateway Ventures, talked about software as service (or SaaS), a
software deployment model. Securing venture capital funding for
enterprise 2.0 startups was discussed by Atty Denny Roja, Managing
Partner and General Counsel of Acuity Ventures. The last talk for the
day was from Mr. Lawrence Decamora on Java Certifications.

Though it rained hard in the afternoon, the first day was still fine.
Delegates interacted with the games and intermission numbers and
participated well in the open forums. Till tomorrow IT enthusiasts!

The image is one of many pictures by Canadian photographer Denis-Carl Robidoux has posted to his website. The truly amazing thing is that just about every day he posts a new picture, and every single one of them are in ten different sizes for use as desktop wallpaper. The cost? Zaro.

I've already grabbed 24 different wallpaper images, and I've only gone back ten pages of his posts. I may even try to turn one or two into Ubuntu wallpapers, but I'm definitely going to use at least one of them when I post my September desktop screenshot to the Ubuntu Forums. You can subscribe to an RSS feed thanks to his Flickr page. He says he will make a link to his feeds easier to get to on his site itself, but it will take him a few days to make the change to his site software.

Bahkan kita semua tahu bahwa amat sangat banyak sekali lisensi yang digunakan dalam perangkat lunak bebas, seperti The GNU General Public License, The GNU Lesser General Public License, The Cryptix General License, The Berkeley Database License, The Zope Public License version 2.0, The Apache License, Version 1.0., The original BSD license., dan banyak lagi (lengkapnya bisa dilihat disini).

This is gonna be a short post, mostly meant to revive this blog. I recently got myself a new laptop. Not a overly high powered machine, but it does what I need it to.

After having tried Fedora, Mint, and Debian Etch on it, I decided to go the Debian Sid route. This I accomplished using the Sidux live cd installer. Sidux offer a some things in addition to default Debian, but it's basically just an easy way to install the unstable branch of Debian.

Now, I must say, I am very impressed with Debian Sid. It's fast and light, and really more stable than what you would imagine.

My desktop computer runs Fedora 9, and that works fine, but Debian has some advantages. The repositories are HUGE, and using the unstable branch of Debian gives you some of the latest technology out there. I have got KDE 4.* running yet, and I wont rush that. KDE 3.5.* works great for now. The only thing I want to complain about is the fact that Konqueror is lacking some features to make it a great webbrowser, and Yes I actually use Konq as my webbrowser most of the time. It's fast as hell and it does the job most of the times.

So... Back to Debian Sid/Sidux. How many crashes have I had? Well.. some, but less than I had in Fedora/Mint/Debian Etch. X crashes a lot less frequently now, and other than that the only problem is that my laptop sometimes freezes on bootup when trying to set the system clock. No idea why, but I'll just disable that service.

That's all for this time I think.
