Un film di Phyllida Lloyd. Con Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Julie Walters, Dominic Cooper, Amanda Seyfried, Christine Baranski, Philip Michael Thomas, Nancy Baldwin, Heather Emmanuel, Colin Davis, Rachel McDowall, Ashley Lilley, Ricardo Montez, Mia Soteriou, Enzo Squillino Jr, Chris Jarvis, Hemi Yeroham, George Georgiou, Maria Lopiano, Juan Pablo Di Pace, Norma Atallah, Myra McFadyen, Niall Buggy, Leonie Hill, Jane Foufas.ti. Produzione: USA, 2008 </p>
<p>Nel 1976 veniva pubblicato su un autorevole giornale medico scientifico ( New England Journal of Medicine ) un articolo di un giornalista americano: Norman Cousin.</p>
<p>Egli raccontava la storia della sua Spondiloartrite anchilosante ( malattia fortemente deformate, intensamente dolorosa e gravemente invalidante della colonna vertrebale ) che lo aveva bloccato sul letto; raccontava della prognosi che gli era stata fatta: una probabilità di guarigione su 500.</p>
<p>E racconta della molla che è scattata in lui; la forte volontà di essere quell’uno dei 500 gli fece prendere una drastica decisione ( in accordo con il proprio medico ): sospendere la terapia antinfiammatoria ed antidolorifica, assumere forti dosi di vitamina C, e di incominciare un programma di abbondanti ed intense risate ( aveva fatto particolari ricerche storiche di esempi degli effetti benefici del buonumore sulla salute ), per cui si procurò allo scopo un enorme numero di film comici e di letture umoristiche.</p>
<p>Il progetto si dimostrò subito efficace: dieci minuti di buone risate servivano da analgesico e permettevano almeno due ore di sonno indisturbato. Il miglioramento continuò, lentamente ma costantemente, fino a che Cousin non fu in grado di riprendere il lavoro a pieno ritmo. ( v anche “Burn After Reading” già recensito ).</p>
<p>Beh sicuramente Norman Cousin, per il suo programma terapeutico, avrebbe inserito anche questo film spumeggiante; due ore di puro svago e divertimento sulle note di tutte le canzoni degli Abba.</p>
<p>Non solo ma anche perché il film, pur rivolgendosi a tutti, guarda con particolare attenzione soprattutto ai perisessantenni, che hanno una “chance” in più nei rapporti interpersonali, liberi, come dovrebbero esserlo almeno mentalmente, da qualsiasi vincolo o gabbia.</p>
<p>Sono uscito dal film a passo di danza ( io che non so ballare ) e canticchiando ( io che non so cantare ) la canzone Fernando sempre degli Abba.<br />
A proposito, perché nel film ballano e cantano tutte le canzoni degli Abba tranne FERNANDO?</p>

<title><![CDATA[The Film That Switched A Light On]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I'm going to start by directly addressing the reason people have a problem with this movie, and with the director, the scene below demonstrates both perfectly.  </p>

<p>I was going to quote a whole section of Richard Schickel's book WOODY ALLEN: A LIFE IN FILM that deals with the whole Soon-Yi scandal. I've decided not to as I'd rather talk about the work but I think this paragraph goes some way to providing closure. </p>
<p><strong>........ "Moreover he emerged [from the paparazzi / court case craziness] with something he had not enjoyed before - a happy marriage. Soon-Yi is a very intelligent, attentive and forthright woman; in the exchanges with Woody that I have witnessed, one senses a serious and well balanced relationship in which, clearly, she is not in the least bit dominated by his fame, accomplishments, or brains. They listen to each other sympathetically, and when they disagree it is rather obviously within the parameters of a sympathetic affection"........ </strong></p>
<p>It's this chapter of Woody Allen's life that influences many opinions on his work. I've lost count of the amount of time I've heard the phrase "I can't watch his films - he's a creep - he had an affair with his daughter". I'll no doubt need to provide further evidence that this is far from the truth but in the meantime, I'll enjoy myself talking about the film that inspired me to make films, the film that led me to fall in love with New York, the film I still count as my favourite picture of all time: </p>
<p><strong>MANHATTAN </strong></p>

<p>Woody Allen had decided to do a picture in black and white with an anamorphic aspect ratio prior to writing MANHATTAN. He and cinematographer Gordon Willis had concluded over dinner that to do a picture in such a style would present some interesting creative problems which could hopefully lead to some beautiful solutions. One can only thank god that MANHATTAN was the movie he wrote following that discussion. </p>
<p>The opening scene is a wonderful, spine tingling piece of cinema. George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue swells and rolls, introducing the audience to a New York that is not portrayed in a glitzy Hollywood way. We see trash on the sidewalks, throngs of people paying no attention to each other, workers fixing the street, the Hudson River ferry pulling into berth. It's INCREDIBLY alluring. The city was always intended to be a character in this film, no surprise given the title. </p>
<p>The climax of this sequence is a fireworks display photographed in Central Park. I'd never have believed, prior to seeing this movie, that fireworks could look so beautiful in black and white. The larger explosions reveals hidden detail in the buildings for a split second..... It's just great. </p>
<p>Even watching the small youtube section fills me with glee, have a look.</p>

<p>The picture follows the main protagonist (Played by Allen) Isaac Davis as his life slowly unravels around him. His ex wife (EXECELENTLY played by Meryl Streep) is writing a book about their break up which causes him great pain and anxiety, this after leaving him for another woman. His relationship with his younger girlfriend (Mariel Hemmingway) leaves him unsatisfied despite the girl being besotted by him. His career as a television writer comes crashing to an end when he quits. He then falls for the woman (Diane Keaton) with whom his best friend Yale (Michael Murphy) is cheating on his wife..... That’s what I love about this movie, Isaac is never on top.  </p>

<em>Isaac and Tracy</em></p>
<p>Of course, being Manhattan, (everyone has an analyst) it's not only Isaac that is going through emotional turmoil. No one, except the wonderfully naive and pure Tracy (and maybe his ex wife) is happy with their existence. Diane Keaton plays Mary, the 3rd point of the love triangle formed By Isaac and Yale, her character is a typical New York intellectual type, forever in a crisis but with little in the way of solution. Her fragility is hidden behind a veneer of pseudo strength derived from pretension. Yale, living a lie with his wife who wants him to move to the country and have kids, is no surer of his path than Mary. The whole film plays out at a perfect pace and allows the audience to get into every character, not just Allen's. </p>
<p>The scene below shows the triangle being formed. It opens with the most famous scene of the picture, photographed by the Queensboro Bridge (I went on a solo pilgrimage to find the site when in New York last year) with Isaac and Mary. The phone call between Yale and Isaac is charming as is the exchange between Yale and Mary in Bloomingdales. Allen crams a lot of information into this 3 and a half minutes but it never feels rushed...... </p>

<p>Although Isaac seems to go from one trauma to the next we never really sympathise for him. I never really find myself on his side. Tracy is spoken to in a condescending manner due to her age yet it is she who is the stable, rational, decent one. I always feel that Isaac deserves everything thing he gets yet can't help but like him...... he's only human after all. </p>
<p>Despite the generous helping of neuroticism we're given in this film it ends with a subtle trace of hope. For those of you that have seen the film, you'll know what I'm on about. Those of you that haven't, you have to see this film. I'm willing to come over to anyone's house and personally show the picture. </p>
<p>Allen himself loathed the film. When Stig Bjorkman, whilst interviewing Woody, pointed out " I've heard, or read that you were very uncertain or very unhappy with Manhattan", Woody answered ".... When I finished it? Yes, I'm never happy with my films when I finish them. Just about always. And in the case of <em>Manhattan</em> I was so disappointed that I didn't want to open it. I wanted to ask united Artists not to release it. I wanted to offer them to make one free movie, if they would just throw it away" ....... </p>
<p>What does he know?  </p>
<p>I'll leave you with a great scene that again gives lots of information in a short space of time. When out on a drive with Yale, his wife and Mary, Isaac spots his ex wife's newly published book in a shop. They buy it and start reading it aloud. Note how the camera lingers on Isaac as his every weakness is revealed via print..... A lovely moment from a simply tremendous film. </p>

<p>Nonton film Mamma Mia! menurutku bukan film dan bintang filmnya aja yang seru tapi juga nontonnya dan penontonnya.</p>
<p>Sejak dari beli karcis pun, udah terasa keanehan. Waktu mbaknya di loket nanya untuk berapa orang, saya jawab satu (biasa aja). Rasanya mbaknya spontan terheran-heran, bahkan sampai mengulang jawaban saya karena gak percaya: satu?? Lhah, saya malah jadi bengong n heran, apa saat ini nonton sendirian sudah dianggap perilaku yang  menyimpang kah?<!--more--></p>
<p>Mungkin karena merasa kesepian ditinggal <a href="http://jiwamusik.wordpress.com/2008/10/04/pandjang-oemoernja/">rombongan para saudara nonton film Laskar Pelangi</a> yang main duluan, aku pun iseng-iseng beli minuman dan makanan untuk bekal nonton. Aku merasa aneh sendiri karena selama ini aku tak pernah berbuat seiseng gini. Nonton ya nonton aja, ga pake plus-plus segala.</p>
<p>Yang pertama bikin aku tergeli-geli sendiri adalah <a href="http://jiwamusik.wordpress.com/2008/10/04/abba-i-have-a-dream/">prakiraanku kalo film ini bakal digemari eyang-eyang</a> ternyata gak jauh-jauh amat melesetnya. Banyak penonton yang rambutnya sudah multi warna termasuk putih dan abu-abu. Ini belum termasuk penonton ibu-ibu yang pada pake kerudung. Waah... aku yang rambutnya masih hitam asli (tanpa semir ataopun cat pewarna sama sekali lho) langsung merasa muda belia.</p>
<p>Waktu masuk ruangan aja, kebetulan di depanku seorang ibu (aku ga bilang seorang nenek lho) nonton sendirian. Waktu beliau masuk ruangan aja, aku lihat kaki kanannya selalu kedepan duluan sepertinya nyari2 kalo ada sandungan atau anak tangga. Waah..... aku spontan tengok kiri-kanan, tapi gak liat satupun karyawan bioskop yang biasanya pake seragam. Mungkin lagi pada mudik kali ye. Yaah... meskipun aku belom merasa sebagai bloger sejati, tapi sedikit rasa keblogeranku untuk berbagi pun tak tertahankan. Terpaksalah aku tuntun ibu itu ke kursinya yang kebetulan duduknya di barisan agak depan dan pinggir. Mungkin emang rikuesnya gitu kali', biar gak susah2 naik keatas dan biar gak repot nyari2 posisi kursi sesuai karcisnya.</p>
<p>Waktu itu penonton sedang gak penuh banget. Saya taksir lebih dari 1/3 dari kapasitas ruangan. Sebelah kiriku seorang Ibu bersama putrinya yang katanya kelas 2 SMA. Aku gak tanyain apa doi anak bungsu, sulung ato tunggal, etc. Ibu inilah yang ngajariku dimana seharusnya makanan dan minuman yang kubeli tadi ditempatkan. Hueh heh heh... ndeso tenan aku. Tengqyu ya buu.. Ma(ng)kanya sebagai basa-basi ya ku ajukan pertanyaan2 standard, putrinya bu? kelas berapa? That's all.</p>
<p>Eh, ibu disebelah kiriku ini kayaknya hapal semua lagu2 ABBA deh. Jangan-jangan beliau member of ABBA-Holic kah? Secara remeng2  aku suka denger kalo pas ada lagu beliau kayaknya selalu ikutan nyanyi tuh.</p>
<p>Sebelah kananku masuk belakangan, dua orang tante-tante (biar terkesan lebih muda). Begitu duduk, yang disampingku dengan SKSD-nya, langsung curhat "Wah... mas, aku udah lama nggak nonton bioskop nih". Aku yang bawaannya pemalu, lugu dan kuper cuman bisa nyengir doang &#183; :mrgreen: &#183;</p>
<p>Selain banyak pasutri yang rambutnya berwarna, ada juga beberapa nenek, eeh maaf... maksud saya ibu-ibu, dikawal ama pembantunya. Wah... bisa-bisa THRnya dobel plus plus tuh, udah mau gak mudik, masih mau <em>adult escort service</em> ke bioskop pulak!  Begitulah sikon nonton Mamma Mia! waktu itu. Kebayang khan profil rata-rata penontonnya?! Yaah.... film Mamma Mia! juga telah bikin orang2 yang sudah lama sekali tak ke gedung bioskop jadi nonton kembali.</p>
<p>Bagaimana tentang filmnya sendiri? Ah aku khan termasuk orang2 yang tak begitu suka nonton bioskop, jadi rasanya gak pantes bikin review. Namun saya sempet shock pertama liat penampilan Meryl Streep yang dibenakku masih terbayang sosok top eksekutip nan anggun jelita yang kujuluki: Madame <em>"Devil wears Prada"</em>, yang filmnya pernah dikastemisasi demi kepentingan iklan produk <em>UC (Unified Communications)</em> dari <em>Microsoft</em> itu. Tapi di film Mamma Mia! ini, sosok Meryl Streep <em>njegleg-gleg</em> bisa jadi perempuan tua mlarat, super kucel dan jelek abis gitu. Wuelleh...</p>
<p>Yang jelas, meskipun bukan film komedi ato lawak, namun dari start aku udah tergeli-geli terus sampe finish. Yang sering bikin geli adalah pemilihan lagu dan bagaiman cara ngepas-pasinnya, bahkan terkesan suka maksa yang amat menggelikan.</p>
<p>Saking tergeli-gelinya, waktu nonton itu aku udah nggak ngrasain lagi pas adegan nyanyi lagu ini apakah suara asli Meryl Streep, ato cover oleh penyanyi lain, ato suara rekaman ori-nya ABBA.</p>

As the ushers led the way to the Theatre, we were confronted by a battalion of well-heeled security men in black suits who waved wands up and down our bodies to scour for illegal recording devices.</div>
<p>"Rendition" - a New Line Production - was being unveiled at the Grove and the producers were anxious to ensure that no sneak previews or bootleg copies were released over the Internet.</p>
<p>The excited audience settled into their seats in anticipation of the screening starring popular actors Jack Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon.</p>
<p>When promoters noted fans were turned away at the door, filmgoers felt privileged to have made the cut.</p>
<p>Yeah, it may be a hit at the box office.</p>
<p>The lights fell and the opening scenes quickly unfolded in Cape Town, South Africa.</p>
<p>In moments, the audience was quickly thrust forward into the action, due to some deft inter-cutting of film footage and dramatic storytelling devices.</p>
<p>Suddenly, there was an explosion.</p>
<p>In seconds, we were thrust into the shadowy world of terrorism and espionage.</p>
<p>And, just as quickly, a foreign-looking man was detained by U.S. Customs and ushered into a side room for interrogation.</p>
<p>Based on vague evidence, the man - with a U.S. Green card and expectant American wife residing in the U.S. - was now being asked to explain possible ties to terrorists overseas.</p>
<p><img style="float:right;cursor:hand;margin:0 0 10px 10px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Z2pvpfssa5w/SOlZEQ4BrFI/AAAAAAAABo4/5ElQcNtOVLM/s200/meryl.jpg" border="0" alt="" />When the government was not pleased with the response, a top-ranking official - played cunningly by Meryl Streep - barked an order to her disapproving aide.</p>
<p>"Put him on the plane."</p>
<p>No, this was not an episode of "Fantasy Island".</p>
<p>On the contrary, Rendition is an intense drama about the unlawful detainment of suspected terrorists who are stripped of their rights, by virtue of a shocking illegal practice that is sanctioned by the U.S. Government.</p>
<p>In this fictionalized thriller, the suspected terrorist is shunted off to an overseas ally, where questionable methods of extracting information are prevalent.</p>
<p> </p>

<p>On an aside - it's important to note that last year 60 minutes verified that the CIA did - in fact - own an airplane which was used for this kind of clandestine purpose.</p>
<p>During the course of the investigation it was verified that the CIA registered a bogus company - and the subsequent ownership of the aircraft - to a post office box in the United States.</p>
<p>Then, the CIA used a convoluted paper trail to conceal their alarming illegal conduct from the American public and politicians alike.</p>
<p>It's a touchy issue which is driven home in the film.</p>
<p>For example, when Gyllenhaal's character fails to extract any information from the prisoner, his superior demands to know why he is not making any headway.</p>
<p>He quips, "It's my first torture."</p>
<p>Streep's character responds angrily.</p>
<p>"Americans do not torture people."</p>
<p>Well, sort of.</p>
<p>From the 60 minutes expose - and through other media sources - it's been established that the CIA "farms" the work out and oversees the "operations".</p>
<p>But, the agency has continued to deny wrongdoing.</p>
<p>True to form, when Witherspoon's character tries to determine where her husband is, the tale takes a compelling turn.</p>
<p>A friend from college, who coincidentally works in a Senator's office, tries to help.</p>
<p>When he makes an overture, he's suddenly embroiled in a hotbed of political issues.</p>
<p>Go figure!</p>
<p>When the politician stridently plays the U.S. Constitution "card",  Streep's character trumps it with her own, "National Security".</p>
<p>The film has a rich palette; in fact, Rendition is spellbinding to watch due to skillful lighting, excellent cinematography, and capable directing by Gavin Hood.</p>
<p>In addition, there are stand-out performances by Alan Arkin and Streep and a raft of competent supporting players.</p>
<p>Personally, I found Jake Gyllenhaal's characterization flawed.</p>
<p>There are shots of his character heavily-drinking and chain-smoking early on in the film.</p>
<p>But, there's nothing in the plot to support or explain away the behaviour.</p>
<p>The problem may be with the script and a failure on the part of the screenwriters to flesh out his character.</p>
<p>Just maybe, it's partly due to Jake's shallow acting style, too.</p>
<p>Blank stares in key scenes didn't register as "frustration" or even a "loss for words" to me.</p>
<p>In fact, I was troubled by the fact there was no light in his eyes for most of  his performance - or even a perceptible reaction to events on occasion - when begging.</p>
<p>So, when his character finally takes a bold step - which causes the audience to clap and cheer - the right action is more-or-less an afterthought. After all, there has been nothing on the silver screen to support his sudden jolt from the deep slumber.</p>
<p>Well - you could argue that because the exercise turned up nothing t he was bound to release the guy anyway - with an eye to saving his back in the future.</p>
<p>Indeed, there was nothing heroic about the deed, which the filmmakers would have the audience believe.</p>
<p>The creative decision to flash forward - then back again - to facilitate the unfolding of the tale was confusing, too.</p>
<p>A straightforward approach to the drama - with a logical sequence of events (without gimmicks or clever manipulation) - would have been a better road to travel.</p>
<p>In some respects, the way the filmmakers introduced the characters, was intriguing.</p>
<p>By inter-cutting scenes back and forth (subtitled segments were basically assigned the territory of the "bad guys") the movie-goer was able to glimpse the thought processes on each side.</p>
<p>For this reason, a sense of humanity resonated in the characters - or didn't - accordingly.</p>
<p>The terrorists appeared to be resolutely urged on by "God" and faith, while the Americans appeared to be  propelled forward out of a sense of duty to "country".</p>
<p>In sum, the message was laid thread bare.</p>
<p>For starters, there are a number of misconceptions about race and culture.</p>
<p>Bottom line - terrorism, torture and violence - can never be condoned in a civilized society.</p>
<p>What was the underlying message?</p>
<p>We're all human,  with a basic need for love.</p>
<p>And, in the final analysis, war is not the answer.</p>
<p>Until mankind recgonizes that, filmmakers will continue to exploit the issues on the big screen, in a deceitful effort to rustle up bucks for their own selfish end.</p>

<p>Sono amante di musical (ebreo che ama i musical, originalissimo!), adoro gli ABBA e Meryl Streep - per cui, vi avverto: questa recensione è totalmente parziale.</p>
<p>Mamma Mia! l'avevo visto al teatro in due lingue diverse (spagnolo e inglese), mi era piaciuto tantissimo - sono arrivato al cinema un pò scettico, perchè avevo delle aspettative altissime. E di solito, quando parto così, le deludo sempre. Ovviamente mi sbagliavo alla grande. <strong>L'adattamento cinematografico riprende e rende più vivide le immagini, le coreografiche, l'universo immaginifico di una mamma e di una figlia inguaribili sognatrici e pasticcione</strong>.</p>
<p>Vi dico solo che in sala la gente ballava e cantava ad ogni singola canzone (<strong>sembrava una discoteca gay degli anni '70 in piena regola</strong>). Eppure la maggior parte erano coppiette, o meglio, femmine che avevano trascinato i loro maschi al cinema. Ed i maschi- sottomessi come sono alla figa - hanno accettato di buon grado.</p>
<p><strong>La scena più brutta è quella in cui Pierce Brosnam canta. Sembra che sta per cagarsi sotto tanto lo sforzo, ed inoltre, fa delle facce simili a Prodi quando ha l'orgasmo</strong> (immagino abbia quella faccia quando succede).</p>
<p>Mentre la scena più bella in assoluto è quella in cui Meryl Streep danza al ritmo di "Dancing Queen". Lì non solo ho cantato, ma ho pure calpestato qualche vecchia per ballargli addosso. <strong>Sono volati sputi e dentiere - per fortuna ero munito di fiamma ossidrica per carbonizzarle tutte quelle vecchie di merda</strong>.</p>
<p>Bello, bello, bello. Una, cento, mille stelle a questo musical!</p>

<p>本片分別從政客、學生對於國家、社會事務參與的角度切入，理論上應該是個好劇本，可惜只有點到為止，且劇情張力不足。相較於<a href="http://kmar.wordpress.com/2008/02/12/p298/">Charlie Wilson's War</a>，顯然Charlie Wilson's War表現方式較為高明。</p>

<p>Comedia protagonizada por Brad Pitt, George Clooney, John Malkovich, Tilda Swinton y Frances McDormand en la que se narra los problemas de un analista de la CIA que acaba de ser despedido y que olvida, en un gimnasio, un disco en el que se hallan grabadas sus memorias.</p>
<p>Premio destinado a fomentar y estimular la importación al estado español de las películas más relevantes presentadas en los distintos certámenes y muestras cinematográficas que se celebran a lo largo del año en el mundo.</p>
<p><strong>-PREMIO A LA MEJOR PELÍCULA EUROPEA:</strong> “Los limoneros” de Eran Riklis (Israel)</p>
<p>Película que ya recibió el Premio del Público en la sección Panorama del Festival de Berlín y en la que se relata la historia de Salma, un viuda palestina en cuyo jardín, colindante con la casa del mismísimo ministro de Defensa de Israel, se alza un limonero que las autoridades pretenden talar porque supone un “peligro” para la seguridad de su vecino. Salma no dudará en enfrentarse a esta situación.</p>
<p><strong>-PREMIO A LA JUVENTUD:</strong> “Amorosa Soledad” de Martín Carranza y Victoria Galardi (Argentina)</p>
<p>Tras ser abandona por su novio, Soledad deberá enfrentarse a una nueva relación, a su hipocondría, al retorno de su ex, a una madre absorbente y a un padre que apenas ve. Sólo su socio será el confidente ideal en el que volcar sus problemas.</p>
<p>El Jurado de la Juventud está compuesto por unos 350 jóvenes venidos de todo el territorio nacional y del extranjero. Los miembros del Jurado emiten un voto a la salida de cada proyección mediante una papeleta que incluye una gama de valoraciones.</p>

<p>Perezcano nos cuenta, mezclando documental y ficción, la historia de un joven oaxaqueño empeñado en cruzar la frontera estadounidense.</p>

<p>A principio de los años 90, los jóvenes Rahil y Saïd deciden continuar sus estudios en la Universidad. Allí la primera descubrirá la política y el segundo decidirá implicarse en ella para conquistarla.</p>
<p><strong>“Chou Sar?”</strong> <strong>de De Gaulle Eid</strong> (Líbano-Palestina)</p>
<p>En 1980, los padres de De Gaulle Eid, su hermana pequeña y once miembros más de su familia fueron asesinados en el norte del Líbano. 18 años después De Gaulle Eid, que vive con su familia en Córcega, sigue atormentado por muchas preguntas sin respuesta.</p>
<p><strong>“Pomegranates and Myrrh”</strong> de Najwa Najjar (Palestina)</p>
<p>Kamar, una bailarina que vive en Ramallah, debe enfrentarse al hecho de convertirse en la mujer de un prisionero, Zaid. Se aleja de todo lo que ama hasta que vuelve al baile, donde se enfrenta a Kais, un palestino retornado. La atracción surge entre Kamar y Kais, dando comienzo a un baile que irá más allá de la pasión y las emociones. Al mismo tiempo, el juicio de la familia por la confiscación de sus tierras tiene que hacer frente a un obstáculo tras otro.</p>
<p>Cine en Movimiento es un espacio abierto a largometrajes en final de rodaje o en etapa de post-producción, realizados por cineastas de Argelia, Egipto, Jordania, Líbano, Marruecos, Palestina, Siria, Túnez y países africanos de habla portuguesa. Además, este premio no sólo les permite materializar sus películas todavía inacabadas, sino que tienen oportunidad de integrar una gira anual de Cine en Movimiento por América Latina, organizada por los festivales de San Sebastián y Tarifa, así como muestras itinerantes de Cine en Movimiento por la red internacional de centros del Instituto Cervantes.</p>

<p>La película de Kore-eda retrata un encuentro familiar en el que se reúnen el hijo y la hija de un anciano matrimonio con el fin de recordar la trágica muerte del hijo/hermano mayor.</p>
<p>Premio que pretende promover un cine con potencial humanista.</p>
<p><strong>-PREMIO CÍRCULO DE ESCRITORES CINEMATOGRÁFICOS (CEC):</strong> “Sitll Walkimg” de Hirokazu Kore-eda (Japón)</p>
<p>El CEC es una de las instituciones cinematográficas más antiguas de España. Fundado en 1943, agrupa a más de un centenar de críticos y escritores de cine. Sus actividades se encaminan a la promoción del cine, sobre todo del español. Entre ellas destacan sus prestigiosos premios anuales a la producción cinematográfica española, la celebración de homenajes, ciclos y coloquios cinematográficos, la colaboración con otras instituciones y el fomento de la publicación de libros especializados.</p>
<p><strong>-PREMIO ASOCIACIÓN DE DONANTES DE SANGRE DE GUIPUZCOA, A LA SOLIDARIDAD / ELKARTASUN SARIA:</strong> “El patio de mi cárcel” de Belén Macías (España)</p>
<p>La opera prima de Macías cuenta la historia de distintas mujeres encarceladas que, gracias a una funcionara de prisiones y a la directora de la misma, crean un grupo de teatro que les dará fuerzas para seguir adelante.</p>
<p>Galardón que premia la película que más potencie y destaque los valores humanos que mueven al individuo a la solidaridad, al altruismo con sacrificio de uno mismo, sin esperar nada a cambio.</p>
<p><strong>-PREMIO SEBASTINA 2008:</strong> “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” de Woody Allen (USA)</p>
<p>Premio que la asociación de homosexuales Gehitu concede a la película en la que "mejor se siente representada la comunidad de gays, lesbianas, transexuales y bisexuales". Según el acta del jurado, 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' ha recibido el citado premio "por la positiva visión que ofrece sobre el amor, la afectividad, el sexo y las relaciones personales, que se van desarrollando" en la película "con espontaneidad sin etiquetas ni tabúes".</p>

Aparent, Mamma Mia! si Boogie nu au absolut nimic in comun. Primul e hollywoodian, fantastic-muzical si cu hiper-staruri internationale in timp ce al doilea e alternativ est-european, realist cat cuprinde si cu actori necunoscuti in afara unui cerc restrans de consumatori de cinema de arta.</p>
<p>Si totusi, cele doua filme au ceva important in comun. Ambele vorbesc despre intoarcerea in timp, ca exercitiu necesar pentru a intelege mai bine ce suntem astazi. Privite din acest unghi, ele devin comparabile. Donna, eroina din Mamma Mia!, jucata de Meryl Streep, trebuie sa faca pace cu un trecut in care avea o  viata sentimentala atat de haotica incat nici nu stie cine e tatal fiicei ei. Boogie se intoarce in timp pentru a intelege ce a pierdut si ce a castigat casatorindu-se si renuntand la gasca si la viata boema.</p>
<p>In Mamma Mia, viziunea asupra trecerii timpului e una colorata, dinamica, superficiala si optimista. In Boogie, e cenusie, statica, profunda si pesimista. Ar fi putut fi invers? Imposibil. Fiecare dintre cele doua viziuni are in spate o istorie, o lume, un mod de viata. Acum 20 de ani, tinerii din Mamma Mia!, la fel ca multi tineri occidentali, dansau in cluburi pe hit-urile ABBA, se intalneau la Paris si isi faceau vacanta in Grecia. Traiau intr-o lume deschisa, prietenoasa, optimista si prospera.  La fel si azi. Tinerii din gasca lui Boogie si-au trait anii nebuni intr-o lume saraca, cenusie si pesimista. Lumea romaneasca in care se regasesc peste ani e cam aceeasi, poate doar un pic mai putin saraca.</p>
<p>De aceea, un film colorat, vesel si superficial, facut special pentru a te relaxa, precum Mamma Mia! nu ar fi putut fi facut niciodata in Europa de Est, unde intalnirea cu trecutul e terenul meditatiilor profunde, al revoltelor si frustrarilor.  Ceea ce conteaza, dincolo de verdictul bun/prost sau mi-a placut/nu mi-a placut, dincolo de aprecierea sau nu a prestatiilor muzicale ale lui Streep si Brosnan, este ca Mamma Mia! e filmul lor, al occidentalilor. Si ne aduce aminte cat de diferiti suntem.</p>

<p>'Doubt' ('Duda') ens fa viatjar a l'any 1964 i a un col·legi catòlic del Bronx on hi ha una acusació de pedofilia. 'Doubt' és l'adaptació al cinema d'una obra premiada amb el Pulitzer, escrita i dirigida per John Patrick Shanley.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Wie ein Film zum Zuschauermagneten aufgebaut wird, ist dank Constantin Film an mehreren Beispielen sichtbar geworden.</p>
<ol>
<li>Man nehme ein auflagenstarkes Buch als Vorlage für einen Film. So geschah es mit "Der Untergang" (2004) basierend auf Joachim Fests historischer Untersuchung der letzten elf Tage Adolf Hitlers im Führerbunker. Auch Patrick Süskinds von Stanley Kubrick als unverfilmbar bezeichnetes Werk "Das Parfüm" (2006) wurde von der deutschen Filmproduktionsfirma für 10 Millionen Euro erworben. Als Macher im Hintergrund tauchte bei beiden Literaturverfilmungen der deutsche "Über"produzent Bernd Eichinger auf. Schon in den 1980er Jahren nahm sich der gebürtige Münchener den Jugendroman "Die unendliche Geschichte" von Michael Ende vor und schuf in den Bavaria Studios einen sehenswerten Unterhaltungsfilm. Dann schlich Sean Connery in "Der Name der Rose" (1986) durch die Klostergewölbe eines Franziskaner Ordens. Und 1993 erschien die englischsprachige Verfilmung von Isabel Allendes "Das Geisterhaus". Dass sich Eichinger auch an die Verfilmung des nun in der dritten und überarbeiteten Auflage erschienenen Sachbuchs "Der Baader Meinhof Komplex" (2008) des ehemaligen "Spiegel"-"Über"chefredakteurs Stefan Aust wagte, verwundert deshalb umso weniger.</li>
<li>Natürlich versammeln sich nicht nur hinter der Kamera bedeutende Filmschaffende wie Wolfgang Petersen, Jean-Jaques Annaud, Bille August, Oliver Hirschbiegel, Tom Tykwer und aktuell Uli Edel. Auf der Leinwand waren international bekannte Schauspieler wie Christian Slater, Michael Lonsdale, F. Murray Abraham, Meryl Streep, Jeremy Irons, Winona Ryder, Armin-Müller Stahl, Bruno Ganz, Thomas Kretschmann, Alexandra Maria Lara, Dustin Hoffman oder Alan Rickman. In "Der Baader Meinhof Komplex" ist das who´s who der bekanntesten deutschen Akteure zu sehen, angefangen bei den Haupdarstellern Moritz Bleibtreu als Andreas Baader, Martina Gedeck als Gudrun Enslin, Johanna Wokalek als Ulrike Meinhof und diesmal den nur als Nebendarsteller eingesetzten Jan Josef Liefers, Alexandra Maria Lara, Hannah Herzsprung, Stipe Eceg, .....</li>
<li>Werbung muss natürlich ebenfalls sein. Viel besser als die bezahlten verkaufsfördernden Maßnahmen, sind natürlich Kooperationen mit Verlagen (die das zu Grunde liegende Werk in einer Filmversion auf den Buchmarkt bringen), Fernsehsendern (die sich an der Finanzierung beteiligen, damit die TV-Rechte erwerben und somit ein Interesse besitzen, ihr "eigenes" Produkt so gut und oft wie möglich auf dem eigenen Kanal zu bewerben, auch wenn es nach redaktionellem Inhalt aussieht) und natürlich den meinungsbildenden Printmedien (teilweise Exklusiv-Geschichten, die sich bemerkbar auf den Titelseiten wieder finden und Konkurrenzprodukte zwingen, ebenfalls über die neueste, beste, weil teuerste deutsche Filmproduktion zu berichten).</li>
</ol>
<p>Mit "Der Baader Meinhof Komplex" war ein Erfolg vorprogrammiert. Constantin Film-Chef <a href="http://www.handelsblatt.com/audio/bel-etage/_b=2025825,_p=146,_t=ft_audio,title=fred-kogel-und-der-baader-meinhof-komplex" target="_self">Fred Kogel</a> sprach gegenüber dem <a href="http://blog.handelsblatt.de/mediawatcher/eintrag.php?id=176" target="_self">Handelsblatt</a> auch davon, dass</p>
<blockquote><p>Der Film soll noch mehr Zuschauer in die Kinos locken als der Blockbuster "Die Welle".</p></blockquote>
<p>Nach dem ersten Kinowochenende scheint dieser Wunsch auch in Erfüllung zu gehen. <a href="http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117993061.html?categoryid=1278&#38;cs=1" target="_self">414.814 Zuschauer sahen den 150 Minuten langen Film innerhalb der ersten vier Auswertungstage.</a> Mit diesem Ergebnis musste sich der deutsche Film zwar der Disney-Pixar-Produktion "Wall-E" (2008) geschlagen gegeben (580.000 Kinozuschauer am Startwochenende). Doch kämpfen beide Streifen nicht um die gleiche Zielgruppe. "Der Baader Meinhof Komplex" wird in den nächsten Wochen nur merklich an Zuschauerinteresse verlieren. Genauso wie Eichingers "Der Untergang" ist der RAF-Film ein Must-See. Denn ganz egal wie der Film von Rezensenten und Publikum bewertet wird - und die Kritiken sind eher mäßig. Die Menschen möchten mitreden, wenn es um das Thema Terrorismus in Deutschland geht. Dazu muss aber der Film gesehen worden sein.</p>
<p>Mit seinen über 4,8 Millionen Zuschauern wird "Der Untergang" aber uneinholbar für den neuesten Constantin Film-Film sein. Zweifelhaft ist außerdem, ob "Der Baader Meinhof Komplex" nicht zu komplex und speziell deutsch ist, um bei der Oscar-Verleihung 2009 überhaupt Berücksichtigung zu finden und es unter die letzten fünf Filme in der Kategorie "Bester fremdsprachiger Film" zu schaffen.</p>
<p>Unterm Strich ist der Geschichtsfilm ein Erfolg. Nicht nur Austs Buch wird wieder in den Bestsellerlisten landen (ein Verweis auf den Zusammenhang zwischen Kinofilmproduktion und dessen verkaufsfördernde Wirkung auf dessen Originalquelle) und auch Constantin schlägt sein Schnäppchen. Nicht zu vergessen darf dabei auch die ARD sein. Regisseur Uli Edel filmte mehr Material, welches demnächst als Zweiteiler über die Fernsehschirme flimmern wird. Vielleicht ist die längere Fassung schlüssiger und spannender, als es die Kinoversion war.</p>
<p>Weil Constantin Film scheinbar ein Patent auf die Doppel-Kino-Fernseh-Adaption erfolgreicher Literatur besitzt, ist dann auch für den Herbst 2009 "Die Päpstin" angekündigt. Sönke Wortmann ersetzte aus <a href="http://www.sueddeutsche.de/kultur/artikel/824/124642/" target="_self">unerklärlichen Gründen</a> Volker Schlöndorff und inszeniert Johanna Wokalek in der Donna Cross-Verfilmung. Auf ein mediales Primborium erster Klasse darf sich schon heute gefreut werden und sicherlich wird wieder vom "Filmereignis des Jahres" gesprochen werden.</p>

Senza dimenticare le spumeggianti Julie Walters e Christine Baransky.<br />
Colonna sonora composta dalle più famose canzoni degli Abba, famosissimo gruppo musicale svedese in voga negli anni ’70. La band è stata la rappresentante musicale della Scandinavia più blasonata e di maggior successo e si stima che abbia venduto oltre 370 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo, rendendola una dei gruppi più popolari nella storia della musica contemporanea. <!--more-->Gli ABBA sono considerati tra i più celebri esponenti della musica pop internazionale, conseguendo regolarmente all'uscita di quasi ogni nuovo album o singolo un posto nella top ten in Regno Unito, Scandinavia e Australia. Nella loro Svezia si stima inoltre che soltanto la casa automobilistica della Volvo abbia ottenuto dei profitti maggiori. gruppo si costituì circa nel 1970 ed era costituito di quattro membri: Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, Agnetha Fältskog e Anni-Frid Lyngstad (meglio conosciuta come "Frida"). Quattro anni dopo erano già all'apice della loro carriera musicale dopo aver vinto l'edizione dell'Eurofestival nel 1974 con il brano Waterloo. Da allora inanellarono un successo dietro l'altro fino alla loro separazione avvenuta nel 1982. Tra i loro più grandi conseguimenti fu la legittimazione dell'industria musicale scandinava come fonte di successo internazionale, spianando la via a gruppi svedesi come Ace of Base, Roxette, The Cardigans, Europe e più recentemente Alcazar.<br />
‘Mamma Mia!’ segue i canoni del più tipico stile di musical cinematografico. Senza regalare nulla di nuovo ma anche senza nulla togliere al genere e senza mancare o peccare in qualche modo.<br />
La regia di Phyllida Llloyd è lineare, pulita e meritevole di attenzione, così come la scelta delle azzeccatissime location greche che aiutano la scenografia a regalare la giusta miscela di colori ed emozioni.<br />
Meryl Streep, che con il passare degli anni sembra ringiovanire piuttosto che invecchiare, ha presentato il film a Roma sabato 29 settembre. Grandi applausi da parte del pubblico di giornalisti presenti in conferenza stampa, che hanno voluto così tributare la propria ammirazione ad un’icona del cinema mondiale.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Lei che è ancora così splendida ma che soprattutto è sempre più brava nel suo lavoro, ci svela qual è il suo antidoto contro lo scorrere del tempo?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Sono una donna molto fortunata perché ho una splendida famiglia accanto, questo è il mio segreto. Sono felice di aver avuto una carriera tanto soddisfacente ma non credete, anche io ho qualche acciacco a fine giornata esattamente come ce l'hanno tante altre donne della mia età.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Giunta a questo punto che bilancio fa della sua carriera e della sua vita?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Col passare del tempo le donne si rendono conto di essere molto diverse da com'erano quando erano giovani. Arrivati a quest'età diveniamo più consapevoli di noi stesse, abbiamo bisogno di più amore e di dare di più, il bello è anche che vogliamo molto di più. Credo sia questo anche il senso del film...</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Mamma Mia! è sì un film musicale ma soprattutto è un film sulle donne più che sugli uomini, è un po' una rivincita sul maschilismo sottinteso di Hollywood?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">E' vero, molti film oggi vengono concepiti esclusivamente per gli uomini, se le donne ci sono meglio altrimenti non importa. In percentuale sono molti di più i film 'maschili' che quelli 'femminili'...Questo film probabilmente i maschietti non saranno troppo ansiosi di andarlo a vedere ma come si dice...confido nelle mogli e nelle fidanzate. Anche per questo forse gli Studios non si aspettavano tanto successo al box office, ma per fortuna è andata alla grande!</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>In tutto il mondo i critici e il pubblico la adorano letteralmente, ha collezionato ben due Oscar (quelli per Kramer contro Kramer e La scelta di Sophie, ndr) e ben dodici nomination. Ha mai sofferto della cosiddetta sindrome da prima della classe, quella di cui soffre chi non può mai dimostrare di essere un po' meno brava del solito?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Non pensate che io sia perfetta, ho molti difetti, e le mie figlie e mio marito puntualmente me li fanno notare. Credo che avere una famiglia rimetta tutto nella giusta prospettiva, anche sei una famosa attrice di Hollywood.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Che rapporto si instaura di solito tra Lei e i suoi colleghi sul set?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Sempre ottimo, mi piace creare un clima di serenità e di complicità. E' vero che quando lavoro con giovani attrici loro si sentono un po' in soggezione con me ma quando si rendono conto che anche io sono 'umana' e dimentico anch'io le battute ogni tanto allora si tranquillizzano. La recitazione deve essere una cosa naturale e spontanea, solo così si arriva al cuore del pubblico, non c'è altra via.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Mamma Mia! è un film allegro e divertente ma se vogliamo anche un film sul rimpianto, guardandosi indietro ha qualche rimpianto professionale?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Sono una donna che non vive di rimpianti ma che fa di tutto per tenersi occupata, forse è questo a salvarmi. Ringrazio il cielo di avere tante belle opportunità lavorative ma non mi soffermo mai a pensare alle occasioni mancate. Sono reduce dal Festival di San Sebastian dove ieri ho ricevuto un premio e per l'occasione mi è stato mostrato un filmato con le scene più belle dei miei film, pensate che alcuni neanche ricordavo di averli fatti. E' stato molto bello rivederli..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Da come la vediamo nel film e oggi qui possiamo dire che è in splendida forma, come si è preparata per scene così fisicamente impegnative?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Non sono molto in forma, sono una pigrona. E' che quando sono chiamata ad impegnarmi e devo per forza fare qualcosa cerco di farlo al meglio, e poi qui c'era la musica a darmi la grinta giusta, a infondermi energia e gioia ogni giorno, mi ha aiutata moltissimo.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Anni fa in una sua visita romana si lamentò che non c'erano molti ruoli a Hollywood per le donne dopo i 40. Ma dopo i 50 le cose vanno nettamente meglio, no?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Il mondo cambia, il cinema cambia, l'industria cinematografica cambia. Oggi ci sono più donne nel cinema, più sceneggiatrici, più produttrici, più registe e anche più attrici. L'unico campo in cui non ci sono molte donne è quello della critica cinematografica, almeno negli Usa, un campo che è sotto il dominio maschile e in cui le donne non sono debitamente apprezzate. Me ne dispiace molto.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Una settimana fa in città sono arrivati Robert De Niro e Al Pacino per presentare il loro nuovo film. Lei che li ha avuti entrambi come partner, ci può dire com'è lavorare con due mostri sacri come loro?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Sono state due esperienze diverse ma molto belle entrambi. Sono due miei grandi amici, li conosco da tanti anni. Con Al ho lavorato di recente nella miniserie tv Angels in America quindi è un'esperienza fresca e molto moderna, mentre con Robert ho lavorato a stretto contatto nel 1984, ai tempi di Innamorarsi, in un'epoca molto diversa da quella di oggi. Vi posso dire soltanto che è stato dannatamente machista! No scherzo, è semplicemente uno della vecchia scuola di Hollywood.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Lei ha tre figlie femmine, ha mai vissuto nella realtà la 'sindrome da distacco' che vive nel film?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Certo, l'ho vissuta il primo giorno di scuola di ognuno dei miei 4 figli, quando ho conosciuto la prima fidanzata di mio figlio, quando se ne sono andate di casa per studiare all'estero, quando si hanno figli si deve essere pronti alle separazioni perché prima o poi arrivano.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Quando sua figlia Mamie le ha detto che voleva diventare un'attrice che consigli le ha dato?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">I miei figli sanno quali sono oggi i rischi del mestiere dell'attore. Hanno potuto imparare dai miei successi e dagli insuccessi di miei carissimi amici che non hanno avuto la mia stessa fortuna e oggi sono doppiatori o attori di teatro. E' un mestiere di luci ed ombre, i miei figli l'hanno capito, sono ragazzi concreti non sognatori come ero io. Per questo nessuno di loro ha mai capito come ho fatto io all'inizio ad essere così ottimista ed entusiasta.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Fra qualche giorno al Festival del Cinema di Roma verrà presentato in anteprima il backstage dello spettacolo teatrale messo in scena nell'estate del 2006 al Manhattan's Public Theater "Madre Coraggio e i suoi figli" di Bertolt Brecht (recitato dalla Streep al fianco di Kevin Kline ndr). Cosa ci può dire di quest'esperienza?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">E' il backstage del processo creativo del mio personaggio teatrale, l'idea di farmi seguire da una telecamera durante la lavorazione è stata mia ma ci sono stati momenti molto difficili in cui poi ho cambiato idea, poi l'ho voluta di nuovo. Sono stata difficile, ma ora ne sono molto contenta. E' un'opera che rappresentava in quel momento la frustrazione degli americani e il loro forte atto d'accusa contro la guerra. La ninna nanna che il mio personaggio canta al figlio che tiene in braccio morto credo sia un'immagine eloquente, che unisce tutte le guerre del mondo e tutte le vittime del mondo. E' stato questo ad attrarmi verso questo complesso lavoro interpretativo, credo sia molto interessante poter vedere i retroscena di certi momenti.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Here I go again ...]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[Dear reader, I must make a confession.  I do not make this lightly.  I have agonized for some time]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft" src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/141/359138370_96c28fe4bc_m.jpg" alt="" hspace="10" vspace="10" width="206" height="240" />Dear reader, I must make a confession.  I do not make this lightly.  I have agonized for some time about whether or not to put fingers to keyboard and to own up, but some news in today's paper seemed to compel me to come clean.</p>
<p>I have done it.  I too have been one of the millions world-wide who have paid good money to see <em>Mamma Mia! The Movie</em>.  And what is worse (if there could be such a thing), I enjoyed it!  I even want to get the DVD for Christmas.  (You will doubtless be relieved to hear that I didn't sing along during the performance - even I have some standards.)</p>
<p>Results were reported today confirming <em>Mamma Mia! The Movie</em> as this summer's cinematic phenomenon.  The film cost £28 million to make, but has so far taken £245 million.  Britain has had the highest summer cinematic attendance (17.6 million) since 1972.</p>
<p>So why did I enjoy it?  What has caused the film's success?  Why, at the end of the screening that I attended, did everyone stand up in the auditorium and applaud? - a phenomenon that I have never ever witnessed in a cinema before.<br />

It wasn't the fact that I have had Abba songs ringing in my head ever since.  That alone might have been enough to prevent me from going in the first place.  And it wasn't seeing and hearing the tone-deaf Pierce Brosnan prancing about singing that really inspired me - though the sadistic streak in me was curious to watch how the mighty 007 would cope with middle-aged blonde and a dated tune.</p>
<p>The settings and photography were breathtakingly beautiful.  The Mediterranean blue and the Greek Islands helped create the backdrop and atmosphere of wonder necessary for the story. The acting was, in the main, very compelling.  Meryl Streep convinced us of her confused vulnerability, as well as the fact that she really can sing.  And Christine Baranski and Julie Walters really did leave you feeling that they were the kind of women you would either want with you on a night out in town, or who you would want to avoid like the plague.  There left no room for ambiguity.</p>
<p>I didn't go to the cinema expecting a comedy, but I haven't laughed as much, so continuously, for a very long time.  I can't reveal the plot without giving too much away.  However, it involves a simple quest that has at least three possible resolutions.  It is the intertwining of these possible resolutions, together with the indecision and helplessness of Streep and the craziness of Baranski and Walters that create multiple possibilities for tension, resolution, and farce.</p>
<p>Although the laughter made a grown man cry, it wasn't just the laughter that brought moisture to my eyes.  It is a self-declared fairytale, and like all good fairytales has a happy ending.  But this tale moves because it goes deep.  The characters are real and likeable and not wooden figures. On the surface someone struggles to survive an economic crisis and manages to find some form of gold at the end.  But below the surface there is more for us all to identify with. Deep, unspoken, and unresolved tension in relationships is forced into the open, examined, and settled. The doors to self-imposed prisons are shattered and we dance and sing at the exuberant celebration of new-found freedom and life.</p>
<p>The film appeals because of its rich feel-good factor.  It may be a fairytale, but hey, a good fairytale never really harmed anyone.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The bottom line when it comes to producing high quality televison may lay in producing fewer shows with the impact being better results. For example, the average network show produces 22 episodes in a season. the critcally acclaimed cable show Mad Men produces only 13 episodes per season. </p>
<p>Perhaps it is only a coincidence that the shows that pour all of their energy into 13 episodes tend to have a better quality standard. Or perhaps it's a sign that their producers have more focus and not the marathoners pace of the network guys.</p>
<div>Producer/performer Ricky Gervais gained a ton of critical praise for his recent limited series Extras. That show produced only 13 episodes over its entire run and is considered one of the best comedy shows of all time. The same can be said for his previous series, the British version of The Office with only 14 episodes. It's harder to jump the shark if you don't stay in the water too long(<a href="http://www.jumptheshark.com">www.jumptheshark.com</a>.) Not to say the American version is bad. On the contrary, The American show is smart and edgy in its own way, but I worry that it will overstay it's welcome like Scrubs did.</div>
<p>In addition to the quality being condensed into tighter scripts and story  arcs, The limited nature of the shooting schedule means that actors who might not normally commit to a 22 episode run, will make time for smaller more curated shows. For example, Dame Judy Dench appeared for 13 seasons in a comedy series called As Time Goes By, while simultaneously doing her best work as a film actress. 67 episodes in 13 years, thats a breeze on a tight schedule. You would never ever expect to see Meryl Streep play a regular character on The New Adventures of Old Christine. It is a good show, but it would never attract her because of the 22 episode commitment.</p>
<p>I am not saying that all of the shows that produce under these conditions are great. I am only saying that if the effort were put into 10 to 12 solid episodes per season, we might have a higher quality product than we are used to.</p>
<p>Another effect would be that different shows could run at different times of year on a revolving basis and we would have time to miss that show while it was in hiatus. Writers would not be forced spread their resources out over 22 episodes or by putting their talents only into the episodes that run during the sweeps rating period. It certainly would not be boring. A Fall and a Spring season might make for a lively and entertaining change of pace.</p>

Hennes jobb är att vara assistent åt den tyrraniska chefredaktören Miranda Priestly ( Meryl Streep). Jobbet beskrivs som " ett jobb miljoner flickor skulle dö för att få", men Andrea är inte en av dem, utan tog jpbbet bara för att få in en fot i tidningsvärlden, och seda förhoppningsvis få jobb på New Yorker.  Men till alla andras förskräckelse är Andrea inom några månader ett modelejon och börjar bli accepterad av de andra tjejerna på tidningen och Miranda börjar tycka att hon gör relativt bra ifrån sig. Men när det väl börjar gå bra för henne på jobbet vänds hennes privatliv upp och ner.</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">Redan en klassisk modefilm, trots att den bara är två år gammal. Boken bakom filmen skrevs av Lauren Weisberger som har jobbat som assistent till Anna Wintour, som är chefredaktör på Vouge, och sägs vara lika brutal som Miranda i filmen.</p>

Men Elle ska visa att hon är bra på andra saker än smink, kläder och manikyr och börjar plugga juridik. Och det går jättebra! Elle löser en mordgåta bara för att hon vet att man inte kan dusha inom 24 timmat när man har permanentat håret.</p>

Lo recuerdo prácticamente desde que nací, y aunque hizo muchas películas buenas, me quedo con su interpretación, en 1966, de "Torn Curtain" (Cortina rasgada), a las órdenes de Hitchcock, y junto a Julie Andrews:</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">La otra noticia  ha sido <a href="http://www.20minutos.es/noticia/415338/0/meryl/streep/donostia/"><strong>la concesión ayer del premio Donostia a Meryl Streep, en el Festival de Cine de San Sebastián</strong></a>. <a href="http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meryl_Streep"><strong>Meryl Streep</strong></a> es una de las mejores actrices de todos los tiempos, además de ser una buena persona, en todos los sentidos. Os dejo una escena de la película "Memorias de África", y su interpretación de la escritora Karen Blixen (Isak Dinesen), una de sus mejores caracterizaciones:</p>

<p>Llega ella. Meryl Streep.Qué señorío. Qué señora. Desprende luz, profesionalidad, una madurez muy bien llevada. <span style="text-decoration:line-through;">Me pregunto qué edad tendrá...Yo me la sigo imaginando en Mamma Mia, cantando sobre unos zancos Super Trooper... Memorable.</span></p>

Están por ahí Manuela Vellés, Gonzalo Miró,  Eugenia Martínez de Irujo, Daniel Burman, el director de El Nido Vacío<span style="text-decoration:line-through;"> Es la película que se proyectó después. </span> , Cecilia Roth, Paco Caro la cabeza visible de Equipo Singular una de las agencias de comunicación más importantes del país. Y un largo etcétera que no supe reconocer!</p>
<p>Bataplán. Divisamos a lo lejos a Eduardo Noriega. Charla animadamente con su chica. Después con Gonzalo MIró. Crean un corrillo. ¿De qué deben hablar? Cómo me gustaría estar allí y participar en la conversación. Pero nos tenemos que ir..Son las 05.00. Mañana último día. Madrugón. Queremos aprovechar hasta el último momento.</p>
