In the great scheme of things, this is pretty inconsequential - but did you know that today is the first Saturday of the college football season?!?!?!?!?!?!?  Summer is almost over and the fall is almost here.  And, of course, fall is the best time of the year in central North Carolina.

Anyway...I'm excited about college football.  But, let me spiritualize this post with a "Verse for the Day."

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29

when i was in Taipei, i was wondering in MUJI and i saw this acrylic display case, they got 3 sizes and this is the biggest one, it has 16 mini display space in it, and i bought 2 of them to display my Be@rbrick collection and finally they don't have to collect DUST !

In recent months, I have noticed several online mentions of a new web-based application called Animoto.

Animoto, as described on their website (www.animoto.com), is "a web application that automatically generates professionally produced videos using their own patent-pending technology and high-end motion design. Each video is a fully customized orchestration of user-selected images and music. Produced on a widescreen format, Animoto videos have the visual energy of a music video and the emotional impact of a movie trailer."

To put it simply, it takes your photos and music to create a customized, one of kind, video for your viewing pleasure...and all of it, online (no need to take up more storage space on your computer)! :)

When your video is completed (note: rendering takes approximately 8-10 minutes per minute of video), they notify you via email. Once finished, you may do one or more of the following options:

• Download the movie file (MPG4) to your computer.
• Remix the Video.
• Send Videos to Friends via Email.
• Post or Embed Videos Online.
• Upload the file to Youtube.
• Place it on Facebook.
• Download it to your iPhone.
• Convert it into higher quality for a DVD.

There are three types of services (access plans) for Animoto:

1. FREE Plan - Simply sign-up to create 30 second videos.
2. Pay as You Go - This plan allows you to make videos longer than 30 seconds while paying per video ($3 per video).
3. Unlimited Access - This plan allows you to make and download as many videos as you would like for $30 per year.

Here is what I like about Animoto:

• Its Professional Quality (Excellent work!)
• Its User-Friendliness and Simplicity of Layout (I love the 1, 2, 3 steps.)
• Its Price (The access plans are reasonable)
• Its Web-based Production and Distribution Capabilities
• Its Interface with Other Web Services (e.g., Facebook, Flickr, etc.)
• Its Library of Music Available (...if you don't have music of your own.)
• Its Openness to Better the Product (Very Open Source...Write to them any suggestions you may have.)

N-am stat să ascult şi restul poveştii. Îmi imaginez însă cum căţeluşa moşului va pleca tristă pe străzi unde va găsi o punguţă cu doi bani. Şi, când se va întoarce mândră cu ea în bot, moşul o va întreba aşa cum m-a întrbat pe mine fie-mea când i-am spus povestea "Punguţa cu doi bani": Dar ce să faci cu doi bani în ziua de astăzi? Nu poţi să cumperi nici măcar o îngheţată cu ei.
