Incluso algunas personalidades importantes son sujetas a una especie de lavado de cerebro (llamado "conversión"), la cual hace que tengan obediencia total hacia los Visitantes, aunque la humanidad no perciba los "pequeños" cambios que esto implica en la gente que sufre el proceso (por ejemplo, cambiar de diestro a zurdo). No obstante, hay muchos humanos (la propia madre de Donovan entre ellos) que colaboran con los Visitantes, o que voluntariamente ignoran o rechazan la verdad subyacente.

Quando eu entrei no site oficial do filme, e me deparei com aquela figura no trailer... fiquei decepcionado. Mas compreendi perfeitamente. O que nós ganhamos foi uma Mulher-Maravilha Super-Modelo. Afinal segue os padrões de beleza e blá blá blá...

Mas eu prefiro a do Darwyn Cooke! A que apareceu na animação da Liga da Justiça que ficou consagrada: Uma Nova Fronteira. Aquela sim era uma maravilha! Literalmente... aham! Mais alta que o próprio Superman, forte como uma amazona deve ser, e com um uniforme retro bem típico, quando não estava de armadura. Uma perfeita guerreira... sem falar no estilo de desenho do mestre Cooke que dá o que falar...

My scrumping is so remarkable because I have had ample opportunity to practice. Southern Californians know how to garden, or they know someone who knows someone who knows a great gardener. The end result is the same: perpetual bounties, hanging over neighborhood fences. My area is especially good for citrus, meaning I haven't bought a lemon in years. I speak of scrumping because I feel that it served me quite well this past weekend, while in the ludicrously serene activity of apple picking.

I got a call from my dear Substance Free Resident Advisor of last year, explaining that all of the girls that she was supposed to take apple picking, for a floor activity, were too hungover to go. And would I like to come. I of course said hell to the yeah, and scampered off to meet her.

The day was chilly. I will not say cold as insert vulgarity here yet, nor bloody miserable, nor unbearable. But it was cold, it was fall. Quintessential New England fall.

The drive down to whatever apple farm it was was beautiful. Everything is beautiful now. I think it's completely cheesy and self indulgent when people try to describe really wonderful sensory experiences. So I will simply say that it is unbelievable. I literally cannot believe that the real world ever looks like this. Maine in October is stunning, and it makes me grateful to be alive.

We got to the apple farm, and met the guy working there, and he gave us a paper grocery bag inside a plastic grocery bag. He told us that the good apples were past that little grove down there, and that it would be 75 cents a pound. Thank you, sir, we said, and off we went. 

I was aware then, and am aware now, of how bad my company must have been during this excursion. When I get really excited I talk a lot. I talk a lot for me. Which is really a lot for normal people, because I talk a lot all the time anyway. And I was really, really excited. Apple trees are splendid looking. They're normal enough looking trees, except they're covered with beautiful, colorful presents. The apples were just perfect. Red and delicious (though not red delicious, red delicious are nasty) and just begging to be plucked. You gave them just the lightest tug, and off they came. Pluck pluck pluck we went, up and down the orchard.

I asked if we were allowed to eat an apple or seven, or if that would be considered stealing (scrumping is never done to commercial operations, only neighbors. If you steal from a commercial operation, you might be incarcerated) or bad form. It was fine, advised my dear Resident Advisor. 

These apples were quite possibly the greatest apples I have ever eaten. That I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Due to the cold of the day, they were cold. And due to the fact that they just ripe enough, and plucked five seconds prior, they were the perfect texture and taste. When I bit into them, when I first broke the skin, it snapped. It was like breaking into a flawless creme brulee. The inner and outer textures were entirely different. The inside of the apple was tart and white, with just the tiniest hint of green. It was so juicy it seemed alive.

I ate an inappropriate amount of apples. I know that now, but I was in a bit of a feeding frenzy at the time. They were just so wonderful. I also feel that I should mention how gratifying it was to throw the cores. The orchard was really big, so if you have the arm for it, you can send them pretty far. I made a game of trying to peg various targets. It was an accuracy game for me. Improvement is necessary.

Once the bags became difficult to carry, we headed back. The owner's daughter was weighing apples using an ancient scale, and working the old time cash register. It was incredibly charming. I tried to pay for mine using a credit card, which is apparently very uncouth. I paid less attention to everything beautiful on the ride home, because I was being lectured about how tacky credit cards are. 

I really enjoy apple picking. It's tremendously relaxing and fills me with good cheer. It makes the New English seem less masochistic in the big scheme of things.

Cortar a roupa, a seda e ignorar o capricho de Georgiana é uma cena que denota como seu marido a encara: como um objeto a ser explorado e nada mais.

Keira Knightley foi muito elogiada em sua atuação como a duquesa. Embora o papel fosse difícil, a atriz comenta que o pior foi carregar todo aquele figurino, especialmente as perucas. A atriz comenta que as perucas quase afundavam sua cabeça e que os figurinos completos chegavam a pesar 70 quilos. Mesmo carregando todo esse peso, a atriz conseguiu transmitir o redemoinho de emoções que acontecia dentro de Georgiana. O figurino também foi pensado para expressar os sentimentos e momentos da personagem: quanto maiores os trajes, mais aflitiva a situação. Era como se Georgiana tentasse se esconder sob as roupas e penteados.

"As roupas, as perucas e os chapéus eram tão pesados que doía ficar de pé. Numa das cenas, tive que usar uma peruca de cerca de 80 centímetros, cujo peso afundava minha cabeça no meu pescoço�, revelou a atriz ao Daily Mail. "E isso é justamente o que acontecia naquela época. O resultado pode ser maravilhoso, mas não é fácil vestir-se assim".

Em relação aos vestidos, explicou que “tinham que ser costurados todas as vezes que eram usados, e suavemente descosturados para poder ser tirados (sem estragar)".

Isso tudo aconteceu há dois séculos mas algumas coisas não mudaram e muitas "Georgianas" ainda andam por aí...

But do yourself a favour, go read the beautiful love story of Bacchus and Amethyst, how Diana turned her into a stone and Bacchus libated red wine onto the stone for his love, turning her purple for an eternity.  At least the tigers didn't tear her apart...

M-am bucurat să găsesc astăzi încă un articol, pe aceeaşi temă, extrem de incisiv, la adresa ICR şi a aşa numiţilor artişti sponsorizaţi cu bani mulţi, bani publici. Articolul apărut în revista Qmagazine, este semnat de Radu Georgescu. Voi spicui câteva fragmente din articol.

Şi prinţesele o iau sus.

Coborât de pe cal într-un secol prea complicat pentru el, la începutul activităţii artistice, Tara declara şi susţinea prin demersul artistic, că Vlad Ţepeş a fost un zoofil convins. După dispariţia prinţesei Diana, pregătea o expoziţie care nu a mai avut loc şi al cărei titlu trebuia să fie "Şi prinţesele o iau sus".

Vaginul Transilvania

O oră i-a trebuit acestui artist neînţeles de mulţi (Benedek Levente), să mâzgălească în trei culori simbolul unei naţiuni din care, sigur nu face parte.

Un defect ereditar, plătit din bani publici.

Traian Băsescu tace.

Preşedintele Traian Băsescu patronează ICR-ul. Deşi i-am adresat câteva întrebări lămuritoare la adresa acestei blasfemii made in România, până la ora închiderii ediţiei, şeful statului nu a răspuns. De câteva zile, presa ţine prima pagină cu acest scandal. Chiar daca jurnaliştii sunt nişte ponei roz care nu ştiu ce înseamnă o artă într-un prezervativ. Mare, cât Transilvania!

Pont de l'Alma in Paris where the "accident" happened is an ancient sacrificial site, used for the worship of the Roman Goddess Diana. Just a coincidence?

The date that the people pray to this 'goddess' Diana  was on the 13th ............  coincidence?
