okeh daripada lama2 bicara ngalorr-ngidul gak karuan mending langsung saja ke tahap installasinya:

Boot DVD KNOPPIX 5.3.1 ke machine anda, lalu masuk konsole dan ketik knx2hd maka akan tampil:

1. tekan ok saja lalu muncul

2. Pilih no 2 lalu klik Ok dan Ok lagi maka akan tampil

3. Pilih sistemnya. Pada bagian ini kita coba pilih beginner saja :) . lalu tekan next dan
akan tampil lagi

4. Pilih partisi yang akan digunakan. Lalu klik next.

5. Masukkan nama user lalu klik next.

6. Isi username yang akan digunakan lalu tekan next.

7. Isi password username lalu tekan next. lalu isi password username dan next lagi.

8. Isi password administrator / root lalu tekan next. lalu isi password administrator / root dan next lagi.

9. Isi nama hostname / box lalu tekan next.

10. Pilih bootloader dengan MBR lalu tekan next. atau partition (jika ada bootloader laen )

11. Jika konfigurasi sudah mantap, klik next untuk proses installasi selanjutnya.

12. Klik start installation (nomor 2) lalu klik Ok, dan proses akan berjalan.

Tips:

Jika ada beberapa device yang tidak terdeteksi seperti pc anda tidak bisa keluar suaranya, atau webcam anda tidak bisa muncul gambarnya. Cobalah Upgrade kernel dengan cara konvensional :P :

1. Download tarball kernel terbaru / stable. misalnya 2.6.26.tar.bz2 ( unduh di sini )
2. Masuk terminal, pindah direktori ke /usr/src dan ekstrak tarball nya.

deanet@debian-id:~$ cd /usr/src/
deanet@debian-id:/usr/src$ tar -xlvf linux-2.6.26.tar.bz2

3. Masuk ke direktori linux-2.6.26 yang uda terbentuk dan bikin konfigurasi kernel dengan mengetik make menuconfig.

root@debian-id:/usr/src/linux-2.6.26# make menuconfig

Kalo ndak tahu yang dikonfig apa aja, mending langsung save aja kek saya :mrgreen: . Tapi kaalo mao maju a.k.a berkembang, ya coba2 lah saja dengan ekstrim. :P

4. Klo uda disimpen, langkah selanjutnya ketik:

root@debian-id:/usr/src/linux-2.6.26# make && make bzImage && make modules && make modules_install && make install

biar ndak kepanjangan ni post saya singkat command diatas :mrgreen:

5. kalo gak ada error, langsung arahkan / tambahkan list kernel yang baru anda (2.6.26 ) di grubnya (menu.lst).

Su Linux, invece, gli effetti speciali ci sono da molto piú tempo; essi sono migliori sia per una minor richiesta di risorse che per una piú vasta scelta.

Tutto questo si chiama Compiz: è un Window Manager (cioè un programma che controlla il funzionamento delle finestre) che aggiunge eleganti effetti come la disposizione di vari desktop su un cubo, l'aggiunta di ombre e sfumature, la trasformazione delle finestre in entità gelatinose e tanto altro!

Compiz, come abbiamo già detto, richiede pochissime risorse rispetto all'equivalente di Windows Vista; purtroppo, però, per utilizzarlo dobbiamo assolutamente avere una scheda video compatibile (in termini tecnici, dev'essere dotata della tecnologia AIGLX). Piú precisamente, non dev'essere la scheda ad essere compatibile, ma i suoi driver; driver che, a volte, sono pessimi (come nel caso delle schede video ATI) oppure ottimi (come con NVidia o Intel).

L'installazione è immediata e, ovviamente, dipende dalla distribuzione. Su Arch Linux, ad esempio, si installa con il comando

sudo pacman -S compiz-fusion-gtk

se utilizziamo GNOME. Altrimenti, se siamo utenti di KDE, installiamolo con

sudo pacman -S compiz-fusion-kde

Per attivarlo sarà sufficiente lanciare il Compiz Fusion Icon, che dovrebbe installarsi automaticamente. In caso contrario,

sudo pacman -S fusion-icon

Potremo poi personalizzare gli effetti, attivando o personalizzando quelli che preferiamo, tramite un comodo pannello di controllo (su GNOME è in Sistema > Preferenze > Gestore configurazione CompizConfig).

Para evitar accidentes con compiz tras habilitar addons de animación:

Smanettare con i terminali di Linux, inserire tutti quei codici e alla fine far fnzionare il tutto, e anche bene, dà una soddisfazione che un vecchio Windows, anche Vista, non darà mai :) ...

quindi, a 15 giorni di ubuntu, il bilancio è questo:
- tutti i programmi installati su windows hanno trovato o la stessa versione,
o una versione alternativa su Ubuntu...
- gli iniziali problemi di connessione al telefono via protocollo ppp0 sono
stati risolti con il samsung sgh z240...
- La libreria di ITunes non è stata importata, ma completamente riscritta
su rythmbox con un unico passaggio in circa 45 secondi:) ...
- I problemi di connessione wireless sono stati celermente risolti grazie
all'aiuto del forum, in meno di un'ora, facendo funzionare anche
wireshark(disinstalato subito dopo...:( )...
- Tutto il sistema operativo è completamente in italiano.

Ora termino qui, e non vi dico che Ubuntu è una figata anche a livello di efeftti grafici, soprattutto dopo aver configurato compiz fusion, che fa partire Google Earth e di conseguenza tutti gli effetti 3D... che sono veramente una figata:)

Para instalarlo,agregar las siguientes lineas a su /etc/apt/sources.list. [ubuntu]:

El último comando abrirá una GUI para configurar compiz donde usted necesitaria activar extra-animations (on).En la sección "Extras", haga clic en Animations Plus, tal y como se muestra aquí,esto desactivaria automáticamente las antiguas Animaciones.Si aparece un cuadro de diálogo en ese caso, elija "desactivar animaciones"Debería ver lo siguiente:

No instale el plugin sin antes visitar la pagina del autor debido a posibles cambios e intrucciones nuevas.

Instalacion:

Añadir a su /etc/apt/sources.list:

It mimics Apple's to the following extent: it can display any web page, and it updates each time it is displayed.  It's deficient compared to Apple's in that it can only view complete web pages and it isn't integrated into a convenient browser button. It's also difficult to resize unless you know the mouse shortcuts for that - Super Key + Middle Button on my system.

To build it you will need to install the libwebkitgtk-dev package and a standard GTK+ development environment.  To use it you will need Compiz Fusion with the Widget Layer plugin enabled and set so that it treats any window with a 'role' of 'widget' as a widget.

De este modo obtendremos un comportamiento más parecido al Dashboard de MacOS X. Lo primero que debemos instalar si aun no lo tenemos instalado es el administrador de compiz fusión.
$ sudo aptitude install compizconfig-settings-manager
Una vez instalado vamos a ·Sistema>Preferencias>"configuración avanzada de los efectos de escritorio">opciones generales>pestaña general> y desactivamos ocultar ventanas omitidas (Hide Skip Taskbar Windows)

y listo, a partir de este momento podremos mostrar u ocultar escritorio sin que se minimicen los widgets de Screenlets.

Para ejecutarlo: Nos descargamos el .tar.gz desde el sitio oficial, lo descomprimimos y despues ejecutamos:

$ python fusionbuild

con eso ya se inicia la interfaz. La aplicacion incluso nos permite desinstalar el compiz estable que viene con Ubuntu 8.04 para proceder a instalar la version de los repositorios GIT.

Recomendación: solo haz esto si tienes un grado de conocimiento de Ubuntu, novaya hacer que dañes algo de tu instalación de Compiz-Fucion. Aun asi telo recomiendo. ;-)

Esta versión incluye el escritorio como un cilindro o esfera, nuevos efectos de escritorio, mejoras en el rendimiento y la estabilidad... muchas novedades con respecto a versiones anteriores, pero esta vez sin tener que instalar algo en plena fase de desarrollo.

Debo advertirles que algunos han tenido problemas con esta versión aunque son muy contados los casos y a la mayoría le funciona bien. Yo no tuve problemas e incluso pareciera mejorar una poco el rendimiento general.

Nuevamente, lo que debemos hacer es ir a "Orígenes del software" (dentro de Sistema > Administración) y agregar el siguiente repositorio en la pestaña "Software de terceros":

Cerramos aceptando actualizar los repositorios y luego aparecerá el icono de actualizaciones disponibles en la bandeja del sistema.

FusionBuild è una GUI che permette di compilare,installare, aggiornare e disinstallare Compiz Fusion dal Git.

Vediamo alcune caratteristiche offerte da questo nuovo script:

• Semplice interfaccia
• Installazione, aggiornamento e disinstallazione
• Rimuove la versione di default di Compiz Fusion in Hardy in modo da evitare conflitti
• Aggiunge le dipendenze necessarie per la compilazione
• Se l'utente lo desidera, abilita l'autostart di Compiz Fusion all'avvio

Possiamo scaricare FusionBuild direttamente dal blog dell'autore nella sezione download, quindi scompattare il file .tar, entrare nella cartella appena scompattata, fare doppio clic sul file FusionBuild e scegliere l'opzione "eseguire sul terminale".

Potrebbe essere interessante seguire questo thread su FusionBuild su ubuntuforums.org per gli ultimi aggiornamenti.

**NOTE**:

Se in precedenza abbiamo usato un altro script per installare Compiz da git utilizziamolo per disintallarlo prima di utilizzare FusionBuild.

Non è raccomandato l'uso su KDE, in quanto verrebbero intallate le librerie per GNOME necessarie per eseguire FusionBuild.

Al momento, FusionBuild è stato testato dall'autore solo su Ubuntu Hardy Heron. Non è garantito il corretto funzionamento su versioni precedenti e su altre distribuzioni.

ちなみにcompiz-managerをどこかで起動しておけばccsm上で指定した設定が即座に画面上で反映されるのだが。このcompiz-managerは標準ではインストールされないのだ。一体どうしたことか。

There are options

First is Compiz Options. These are found by right clicking on the Fusion Icon in the Panel. There are two options and one I use is Loose Binding. Not sure how it works but it does make a difference to performance, at least with my nVidia card. When it wasn't selected performance was slow and X was working flat out, taking up around 30% of the cpu. With Compiz using about 15 - 20% that was quite a load. Now compiz is about 25 - 30% and X rarely over 1%.

There were other benefits too. I often found the screen totally messed up when resuming from Suspend. The only fix was to reload Window Manager, again using the Fusion Icon. Now that problem has disappeared.

I guess the lesson here is test the options, the other one is indirect rendering, and see if they improve Compiz on your computer.

Pager

The second thing is the pager. I use KDE 3.5 on Fedora 8. That is the bar that shows the number of desktops you have and allows you to click on one to bring it to the front. The standard pager refused to show the four desktops, it was stuck on one. I removed it and installed the KDE one designed for compiz, kicker-compiz. After adding it to the panel I had four desktops showing again.

As an aside there is a great option in Compiz called Window Preview. You will find it in ccsm under Extras. It shows the contents of a window in the Pager as well as when you hover over the application name on the Taskbar.

The first thing is that you need to be running the most recent release of Compiz and have CCSM installed.

1. - First install the requires packages to compile Compiz Fusion plugins, open a terminal and type:

sudo apt-get install compiz-bcop compiz-dev build-essential libtool libglu1-mesa-dev libxss-dev libcairo2-dev git-core

2. - We need to create a folder to keep the plugins sources in, type a line at a time:

mkdir ~/compizplugins

cd ~/compizplugins

3. - Now we want to download the plugins source using git, once again type each line at a time:

git clone git://anongit.compiz-fusion.org/users/warlock/freewins

git clone git://anongit.compiz-fusion.org/users/pafy/screensaver

git clone git://anongit.compiz-fusion.org/users/metastability/atlantis2

4. - The last step is to compile the individuals plugins by switching the directories and running make and sudo make install, remember to type each line at a time:

cd ~/compizplugins/freewins
make
sudo make install

cd ~/compizplugins/screensaver

cd ~/compizplugins/atlantis2
make
sudo make install

Hopefully everything went according to the plan so now all that is left to do is restart the computer in order for the action to take place, once you get back in the system through a keyboard shortcut open Compiz Fusion Manager Alt+F2 and type ccsm, or go to System>Preferences>Advanced Desktop Settings and look for the plugins we just installed there should be Freely Transformable Windows, Screensaver and Cube Atlanti. So instead of replying to them one by one, I decided that I'm going to write this post, and link them here, so they would also have a reference to it if they needed it later.

before doing anything, you have to make sure that your driver is compatible (which in most case it is) and also that you have the latest drivers for it. If you use nVidia cards, from livna repository install kmod-nvidia or if you use ATI cards, install kmod-fglrx from livna repository.

the trick is (on fedora at least), you install these packages:

compiz
compiz-fusion
fusion-icon
compiz-fusion-extras-gnome
gnome-compiz-manager

and that's all!! done! very easy wasn't it?
now if you also want to have some extra decorations for your windows (windows as in the plural of window), install these packages also:

emerald
emerald-themes

now you can go to Applications > System tools > compiz fusion icon
and compiz will run! if you want to change some settings, you can right-click on the fusion icon in your system-tray, and bring up the configuration dialog :)

and that's all!

SUMMARY:
