the über-cute namco cat....love it!

I'm soo goddamn tired right now, maybe i'll add something later.. i just had to show u the pic, cause its so sweet :)

[EDIT] I'm tired of people telling me that what I do is complete rubbish. Well, I know that criticism is good and it helps to develop and get better, but w h y do they have to do it so rudely? My mistakes are t h r o w n in my face and it hurts really bad. This rudeness makes me want to give up, but I know I can't just quit because the others tell me so. I can't. It's hard to stay true to myself.

Avery is a fat cat, but doesn't eat a lot like you'd think he would.  He's at least 20 pounds, maybe 25.  Unlike Bo Bo, he doesn't like human food except for the occasional sip of milk if Bo Bo is having some.  Oh, and of course, he loves tuna fish juice too but frowns at kitty treats.

He prefers long naps on the bed, or on the mat by the back door, or under the blankets on the sofa. The laundry basket is a fun place to hide. He'll bat at a piece of string or ribbon from time to time, but quickly becomes board with that game.  His signature mark is his little mole on his face and his head but.  To get your attention, or while you are already petting him, he'll give you a nice head but.  He also likes to give you love bites, which can hurt if you aren't expecting it.  His purr is very loud, so I assume he's a very happy kitty.

You'd think he's the dominate of the two, but Bon Jour will often pounce on Avery when he's trying to sleep in the sun shine on the floor.  He gives out a wicked cry when Bon Jour is being mean to him.  Avery does not like the dogs because they chase him when he jumps down off the furniture.  He has been known to swat back at them, which often gets him in trouble because Bailey, the middle dog, will attack back.

Overall, he's a laid back kitty that never causes trouble.

Get that camera out of her!  We're napping!

A few evenings ago the cardinals were driving me mad with their chirp-chirp-chirping. They'd built a nest in the tree outside the tv room and now that Mom and Dad have new windows they have them open most of the time. I heard Mom complaining about the noise outside and I said to myself, "Timbit, you could shut them up for her, and at the same time have an evening snack." But Dad really insists that I be an indoor cat with outdoor privileges.

It's a bit like being in a jail. I've got a microchip embedded so that they can monitor my movements and catch me if I escape. I get "yard" time to play or laze about in the sun.  But what I don't get when I'm tied up is a place to do my business. I mean, I'm not going to poop in my own backyard and then lie down in it, right?

And a bit of an update on the Cardinal family. The new baby was finally out of the nest yesterday, and some young boys on the street were trying to touch it. Dad took over and told them to leave it alone.  It would have been so easy for me to have some young juicy bird meat. Oh well, maybe today I can buck out and go a-hunting.

This is absolutely hilarious.

Okay it's most likely either fake or a hoax, but it's still damn funny.

Should you get a furry one, a feathery one, a scaly one, a hairy one, a fluffy one, a wooly one, a prickly one.

Then once you have settled on a particular species you have to ask yourself if you should get a big one, a small one, a female, a male, an old one, a young one, a spotted one, a long haired one, or maybe two.

Choosing a pet is not something you should take lightly. They are a major responsibility.

Some Things To Consider:

• How much room do you have at home? Is there room for a Great Dane to exercise or is your home more suited to a Budgie.
• How much time do you have to exercise and care for your pet? A goldfish, for example, will not require as many hours a day as a Labrador.
• How long are you prepared to look after a pet? A dog can live 15 years or more, so if you were thinking that you might go back to work after the kids move out you might still have a dog at home.
• Is there a possibility that you might be moving into the city, or into a home, before you pet dies? You might be required to abandon your pet - is that something you are prepared for?
• Is your pet the right choice if you could have children in the near future? An Anaconda or Pit Bull may not be the best choice (I know Pit Bull supporters may disagree).
• Do you or your loved ones have allergies? It is no good turning up with a surprise feline only to find your partner is allergic.
• Can you afford your choice of pet? Can you afford to stable and maintain a horse or will a hamster meet your budget needs. There are many costs that may not be obvious to a first time animal owner, so I would suggest talking to someone who owns the animal of choice (preferably a breeder or someone experienced).

A Pet You Probably Should NOT Choose (unless you have no time, no budget, and no room at home)

This is the sweetest, most neglected cat ever. The "owner" has a tag on her with the name OILCAN. Awful. So, I just love the heck out of this sweet cat. I gave her a bath, which turned out to be a piece of cake,  and I brush her all of the time. She's looking so beautiful these days.

She's a talker so we have nice conversations in the mornings when I'm working on my porch. I let her in my place too, and she loves this one corner of my rug, and eats by feeding herself with her hands often times. It's very funny. 

I always say "Oilcan CAN and OILCAN Does" to mess around with her. I also tell her she's just like a beautiful princess. My friend's think it's cheesy, especially when I sing to her.

Man, I cant wait to get a dog! 

I've been so busy painting and drawing. I've go to many projects on. I'm still working on my BIG canvas. This is the one for my kitchen. I cant wait until it's finished.

They are actually cherries in the jug. Hopefully they will look more like cherries than plums.

I need to make a hot water bottle cover as soon as I have a minute. I dont have a sewing machine so I'll hand sew it.

Here I'm also working on 2 portrait drawings and a fun self portrait in acrylics.

I'm also still working on my Christmas cards.

I'm doing a house drawing as well. Not sure if I'll paint that or leave it at graphite.

Theres just so much I want to do. I'm still framing pictures. I want to take some down the street this week . I really need some sales.

This is Astrid. My mum's cat. She lives with me as my brother, who shares mum's house, is allergic. I dont mind at all. She is so funny and sweet.

I bought the pink faux fur blanket for me. A little luxury. Astrid decided she will sleep on it, only on it. She will sleep nowhere else. If I move it she jumps on me at night. She'll just keep me awake until she gets it back.

Guess who is the boss in my home.

Alice the Cat drew a maze (on her favorite tool, the Magic Doodle), and it amazed everyone who looked at it. 

You start at the bottom right and finish at the upper left.  (I think you're supposed to print it out and color it too -- if you choose -- if it pleases you -- Alice would be pleased!)

How is it that when we are amazed we get momentarily lost?  But then we find what we were looking for too, after thoughts wandered.  It is magic!
