I’ve only tuned into a few of the premieres that have already hit and thought I’d get my

I've only tuned into a few of the premieres that have already hit and thought I'd get my thoughts down in some sort of cohesive manner in advance of the premieres that have me really excited -- tomorrow night's Sarah Conner Chronicles and more than that, Tuesday's two-hour Fringe unveiling.

Prison Break: I didn't watch last season at all. By Season 2, I was really just watching because of Michael and Sara, and because, really, that thread was the only compelling storytelling by that point. Also, I really dug the chemistry between Wentworth Miller and Sarah Wayne Callies.

I'd heard that SWC would be out of commission for the first weeks of Season 3 due to maternity leave, and that, coupled with the ludicrous fact that the PTB had seen fit to throw Michael into yet another prison from which he had to escape, made me really unmotivated to watch.

And then they actually decided to kill off Sara. The way the producers (and the network, and/or whomever else was involved) treated SWC was classless and I am still in awe of the grace she has shown in agreeing to come back. I admit -- when I heard she was coming back, that all of a sudden, Sara hadn't been, you know, beheaded, I just rolled my eyes. And I certainly wasn't going to watch. But I confess, my curiosity got the better of me, and I really did want to watch more Michael/Sara interaction, no matter the means necessary to get me that interaction.

I wasn't disappointed. Actually, I was even surprised. I was surprised, because this season has at least started out with the promise Season 1 had. Yes, it takes a lot of effort to suspend disbelief, but within this conspiracy-laden universe, everything makes sense. Even the miraculous revelation that it hadn't been Sara's head Lincoln had seen in that box.

So I'm watching. At least for now. Way to start the redemption process, PTB.

90210: Why am I even contamining the space in this blog entry with thoughts on the latest debacle from the CW?

I tuned in because I watched the original show all throughout high school and I was curious.

I'm still regretting that decision. What trash. The CW decided to add in an opening oral sex scene (given by a girl to her boyfriend in the school parking lot in broad daylight) to kick off the "family" hour of 7 p.m. A scene not available or mentioned in any of the leaked info or, according to E's Kristin Dos Santos, in the original script. Shocker. Guess they knew they might have a problem with advertising. I mean, at least Gossip Girl holds off till 8 p.m.

But that wasn't really shocking. I mean, it is the CW, a network that decided to kill stellar content like Veronica Mars for Who Wants to Get an STD Who Wants to Be a Pussycat Doll, a show that network president Dawn Ostroff had the audacity to say promoted female empowerment. And it is a show trying to capitalize on Gossip Girl's buzz.

No, what made the show absolutely unbearable was the horrific acting and predictable, trite storytelling.

Seriously. With the exception of the kid from Reaper, who's playing Kelly Taylor and David Silver's little sis, Erin (aw, I remember when she was born...), and the cute boy from The Messengers and In the Land of Women, I saw shockingly little talent. And a ton of overacting.

Yeah. I'll have absolutely no problem passing up 90210 for the eons-better NCIS, House and Fringe.

Bones: I know that last season's finale was widely panned by critics and fans alike. I admit, Zack being Gormogon's Apprentice made absolutely no sense and was obviously a plot device that had to be shoehorned in because of the writer's strike. Honestly, I thought they could've left the penultimate episode, where Booth is shot by his stalker while protecting Brennan as the finale and then let it dangle whether or not Booth pulled through till this season. Gormogon could've been addressed this season.

Still, I never once made the assertion I was going to stop watching. Every show, no matter its awesome factor, stumbles a bit, and Zack was the character to whom I was least attached.

This season kicked off with a two-parter in Jolly Old England and was hilarious. The juxtaposed (but reversed) British version of Booth and Bones was a nice little subtlety, we got lots of Sweets, which did a lot in nourishing my crush on John Frances Daley, and the writers threw a wrench in the Angela/Hodgins storyline. That surprised me, but it fit, and it'll be interesting to see the ensuing awkwardness and what happens between the two.

I'm definitely looking forward to this season, especially since creator Hart Hanson has finally acknowledged that it might be time for the Booth/Brennan storyline to move forward.

And that's it. This week, as I've mentioned, I'm extremely eager to see Sarah Conner and Fringe. Next week is House; the week after brings NCIS, Criminal Minds, and The Office; and the last week of the month gives us Cold Case, Life and at long last, the return of Chuck. (Pushing Daisies, sadly, doesn't premiere till October.)

One Tree Hil – Essa sim é a Malhação americana. Dramalhão mexicano de marca maior. Serve como ultima opção de entretenimento.

House – Envolvente e impactante.

How I Met Your Mother - Comédia marota e sagaz.

Two and a Half Men – Comédia de maior sucesso entre os norte-americanos.

A segunda temporada estava deprimente.

Cold Case – Roteiro bem amarrado.

Samantha Who?

February 1, 2008 — Forensic scientists analyzing bones found in the Gobi desert discovered that the DNA within them could be surprisingly easily extracted. In an experiment designed to mimic the conditions that affected those bones, baking a particularly difficult sample made the DNA much more easily extracted, probably because it makes it easier to break open more cells and expose more of the DNA molecules.

Mummies have always held secrets, but now one of them has led to a new DNA technique.

Our fascination with mummies has sold millions at the box office. Now these preserved people -- mummies more than 800 years old -- are helping scientists reveal the mysteries of the past.

University of New Haven forensic scientist Dr. Heather Coyle is experimenting with a new technique by going back in time.

These are skeletal remains recently gathered from a Gobi desert cave. Surprisingly, Dr. Coyle was able to extract DNA from these mummies, but when she tried the same method on a body found in the USA, she was not as successful. "We realized that the bone we were trying to process was not yielding DNA from the case we were working on," Dr. Coyle said.

Standard DNA procedure for bones is to freeze them. When Coyle and her team re-examined the mummy remains they realized the Gobi desert created a natural bone baking process.

"It makes the bone more brittle so it makes it easier to grind and break open more cells, so we think we are accessing more DNA to begin with," Dr. Coyle said. Dr. Coyle decided to mimic nature by baking the cold case bones for 72 hours. Liquid nitrogen was then poured into a pulverizer. The bone was placed inside, ready to be crushed. After a short cycle the bone was turned to powder and ready for DNA extraction.

Coyle hopes her new technique will someday help close the book on several cold case files.

What is DNA? DNA is the blueprint that encodes all the data for building a human body, along with instructions on how it should operate. Every cell in a person's body contains a copy of this DNA.

DNA typing is based on an unusual feature found in the human genome. There are multiple copies of certain short sequences, 3 to 30 base pairs long, that are repeated one after another as many as 100 times. These groups of repeat sequences are widely scattered through the genome. Everyone has these repeat units, but the number varies from person to person.

Only identical twins will have the same numbers and patterns of these sequences. These genetic data aren't instructions to make anything; scientists think they might exist to get mixed up in the regular genes and provide some variety for evolution.

A very exciting and a very scary episode of Soul Eater this week.

Maka and Soul move on after having a little bout with Ragnarok, who will be dealt with by Krona. Funny scene because Krona looked like she was about to get stripped since her dress was pulled =/. Death the Kid pursues Free and Elka. He was stunned and felt Asura's madness before he dodges Free's Demoneye cannon. It is here that Death and Free fight! Problem is Free is immortal, so Death tried to find a way to lose him, even using his Resonance, which had no impact at all. Death ended up dodging all Free's attack until Black Star arrived with Tsubaki in Ninja Sword mode. With Death as backup, Black Star started to approach Free using Speed Mode, gaining alot of agility, forcing Free to dodge them eventhough he's immortal. Death kinda stops the support, to realise why Free would dodge Blackstar and not him. BlackStar also placed a cut but there was no sound to it, leading to the conclusion Free was an image. Death just walks straight into Free and Free's plan was foiled. Free was projecting his 3D magic while standing on Tadpole Jackson.Too bad for our heroes, they lost significant amounts of time.

Elka and Free arrive to the final room, where Asura is held. They open the gates to see many pylons with yellow seals. They walk further in. The focus falls on Elka who is scared shitless. She can feel something is wrong but can't see it. Rainbow coloured Asura eye things. And then before we know it, Asura has taken apart Elka, by eating her. Fresh Meat! Free is not aware of this until 'Elka' screams. Free comes back to see what's wrong, after peering under her hat, Asura comes to rip Free apart. Interesting that because Free is immortal yet it felt like he was dieing. IT WAS A LIE. Nothing happened, just the madness of Asura playing with their minds. Interesting though because at the end,Elka's holding a point at her throat and Free's has a guillotine restraint around his neck. This whole illusion thing reminds me of Genjutsu in Naruto. Anyway, they finally approach the skin bag Asura is contained in. Medusa's final step in her plan is about to be executed. What are our heroes gonna do?!?!

Next episode seems to be a very promising one, one full of action! Stein up against Medusa. Hardcore battle from the preview we've seen. Not sure what will happen with Free and Elka, Death, Blackstar and Maka. Guess we'll find out next episode.

What a wonderful episode - the best episode so far! Something felt different about this episode: almost every frame appeared as a well composed artwork. I decided to investigate and, surely enough, this episode featured storyboard by Kazuya Murata (Planetes, Denno Coil, Eureka Seven, Gunsmith Cats, Code Geass).

It is a very touching scene. "Nakiyame," she says to little girl (No more tears). That is the origin of her own name - Nakiami, given to her as she used to cry often because she endured much hardship and pain as a child. Rio lost all hope in other people due to her loss, but Nakiami shows her that there are people in the world who care.

The “something new” for Sam and I was watching Fox’s Bones starring David Boreanaz

The "something new" for Sam and I was watching Fox's Bones starring David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel. It's the fourth season of this show, and has a strong fan base so we decided to check it out again. No Spoilers, so if you want to add it or watch it on the Fox website nothing will be ruined.

I tried liking this show when it first started, but it wasn't catchy enough for me. My interest waned quickly.

This season started off strong. The first hour of the season premiere was catchy and funny. The cast all has great chemistry and the premise was interesting. The second hour diverged for me, it became predictable and cheesy. A relationship broke up with the worst logic and conversation ever, but really not bad enough not to add to tivo. So Sam and I are adding it and will see what happens. I really hope the characters Bones and Booth don't ever hook up, but we will see. Again, it would just been to predictable.

The something old was America's Next Top Model Season 11 on the CW and it was just same old, same old. The models are back in Los Angeles, the Jays are back, Tyra is over acting as always and it seems like an alright cast. There's a trans-gender he/she who has yet to have the operation and of course that's adding drama. They were trying to encourage voting in the photo shoot and the annoying girl with the big fake smile who kept saying "I'm American's Next Top Model" went home. My personal favorites are Sheena, Clark and Analeigh...but who knows what will happen or what they will look like once the make overs are done. Anyone can have a good or bad week and go home on this show. I don't think it will be a weekly watch for me, just a casual Sam's not home and nothing else is on watch.

Also for those of you who are interested ABC now has starter videos so you too can catch up on series that have a few seasons under their belt, but you are curious about. Go here to catch up on Dirty, Sexy, Money, Brothers & Sisters, Eli Stone, Samantha Who? etc.

I find myself slightly......disconnected. After the atrocious ending of season 3, which I can't see to totally wipe from mind, I wasn't sure how I would react coming into this season. And I was disappointed, disappointed by the show's perception of London....admittedly, I'm more pissed off by the fact they filmed in London, literally on the South Bank where I walk every bloody day, and I never caught hair nor hide of them.

Anyway, they bring up Zac in the first few minutes.....and I kind of wish they hadn't, because then I noticed how everyone seemed to have swept right over Zac's entire involvement...it's like he was never there, and that pisses me off, because I really, really liked Zac. He was one of my favourite characters, and now it's cast a bit of a sheen over the show.

I know they rushed through last season, thanks to the strike, but they couldn't have simply carried it over to the next year, left it off with an awesome climax, and used the summer break to work out a better ending?

Anyhoo....it's interesting seeing them in London, and admittedly I spent a lot of time watching the scenery, trying to recognise places and buses, I have this thing about what buses are shown and what route they are!

They involved all the characters well, and got the involved into the plot quickly and rather productively, if not slightly creatively. But they did bring up some severely stupid stereotypes, particularly with the Mini. And gah! The chickie, Pritchard said it's an Austin...it's a freaking Mini!

Anyhoo...kudos on getting the chick from Torchwood to play Detective! It's great seeing her again, even if I can't remember what her name on the show was! I'm such a bad torchie....although she was only in 2 episodes, so I think it's allowed! I keep thinking Sandra....something along those lines...

Anyway, knew newbie wouldn't last as he wasn't in the in credits. I guess we get to do the whole fun process of finding a new assistant for Bones, right? Cam's reaction to Grayson was cute, and I wish he stuck around, because that man is HOT! Not to mention great chemistry with Cam, I want to see her happy and involved!

Hodgins and Angela breaking up? Stupid. I liked when they get together, but they dragged out the stupid ex-husband for an entire season, set it up really badly in this episode, and now they've broken up because of their reaction to Cam sleeping with him? It seems slightly irrational to me. I'm not sure where they're going with it, but I've lost faith with this show. I also felt they were hinting a lot at a Bones/Booth hookup last season, and now I'm not sure where it will go.

Honestly? I'm worried about this show. Very worried.

Don’t you wanna come with me?
Don’t you wanna feel my bones on your bones?

The cinematic vision ensued
Like the holiest dream
There’s someone calling, an angel whispers my name
But the message relayed is the same
(wait till tomorrow you'll be fine)
but its gone to the dogs in my mind
i always hear them when the dead of night
Comes calling to save me from this fight
but they can never wrong this right

Don’t you wanna come with me?
Don’t you wanna feel my bones on your bones?

Don’t you wanna swim with me?
Don’t you wanna feel my skin on your skin?
It’s only natural

I never had a lover
I never had soul
And I never had a good time
I never got bold

Don’t you wanna come with me?
Don’t you wanna feel my bones on your bones?
It’s only natural

Don’t you wanna swim with me?
Don’t you wanna feel my skin on your skin?
Don't you wanna feel my skin on your skin?
its only natural

Full Metal Alchemist AMV - Someday

Orginal: Fullmetal Alchemist 2

Rheumatoid Arthritis is a Joint Disorder, which affects Multiple Joints at various sites. It is described as “Amavata” in Ayurveda. The word ‘Ama’ means Toxic material generated as a un wholesome product in the body due to weakening of digestive fire. This ‘Ama’ is then carried by ‘Vayu’(Air Energy) and travels throughout the body and accumulates in the joints, which is the seat of ‘Kapha’(Liquid Energy). As this process continuous, all the Joints are gradually affected, which results in Severe Pain and Swelling in the Joints. When ‘Pitta’(Heat Energy) also gets aggravated, it causes Burning Sensation around the Joints.

General Clinical Features:

“Angamardaaruchistrushna alasyam gouravam jwara!

Apaka sunyatanganam amavathasya lakshnam!!”

Body Pains

Lack of Taste

Thirst

General Weakness

Feeling of Heaviness

Fever

Morning stiffness of the Joints

Pain and swelling in the affected parts

Shifting of pain in Joints

Constipation

Indigestion

Ayurvedic Management of Amavata:

Ahara Chikitsa or Dietary regimen:

One should take Old Rice, Butter Milk, Wet Ginger, Garlic, Wheat, Bitter gourd and Horse Gram in his diet. Avoid consumption of Dairy products, Sweets, Oily foods, Chinese Food, Junk and Fast Foods, Salty and Sour Foods, Jaggery, Black Gram, Fish, Cold Drinks and Ice Creams.

Vihara Chikitsa or Life Style Modifications:

One should avoid Cold Breeze and Excessive Wind. Bathing with cold water should be strictly avoided. Warm water bath is recommended. It is also advisable to take a gentle walk after consumption of food. Also it is good to avoid water intake immediately after consuming food.

Aushadha Chikitsa or Drug Therapy:

‘Guggulu’ is the most effective drug in treating ‘Amavata’. Also herbal preparations of Ashwagandha, Haritaki, Rasna, Sunthi, Pippai and Trivrut are helpful in ‘Amavata’. Administration of castor oil is also very effective in this disease. The mentioned drugs should be taken only after consulting a Qualified Ayurvedic Physician.

Panchakarma Chikitsa or Detoxification Procedures:

This is a purification procedure. By taking this Therapy Toxins are eliminated from the body. The course is as follows:

Snehana:

Internal and external oleation to the body / affected parts is given as a preliminary process.

Swedana:

This is done by application of steam on the affected parts. It helps in reducing inflammatory conditions in the body. Especially in ‘Amavata’ fomentation with sand bag is recommended.

Virechana Karma(Purgation):

It is a type of Panchakarma(Detoxification Process) which is induced by oral intake or herbal compound preparations. By the process of Virechana, the ‘Ama’ is eliminated from the body. Also the bowel is cleansed, which results in proper absorption and assimilation of the medicinal preparations properly.

Basti karma:

This is done by administration of herbal enema. It is helpful in chronic cases. Kashaya Basthi, Anuvasana Basthi and Matra asthi etc are planned according to the Patient’s requirement and necessity.

Care of Joints in ‘Amavata’

Physical activities causing pain in the joints should be avoided.

Staying in one position for too long should be avoided.

Good posture of the Joints should be maintained.

One should sleep on a firm mattress or bed.

Weight should be controlled as excess of weight adds stress to the joints.

Exercise is very important to keep the joints in working condition.

Preventive aspects:

It is always better to take Preventive Measures before a disease affects us. In order to prevent ‘Amavata’ care should be taken to avoid Sedentary Habits. Also one should perform Daily Exercises or Yoga. One should also avoid Heavy, Viscous and Incompatible foods. Instead one should take High-fibre and Low Fat Diet. Care should also be taken to keep our Digestive Fire intact, as the case of all diseases is the weakening of digestive fire.

20.Bang!Bang!Bang!Bang! Have a nice Dream!

Finally the Soul Eater Official Sound Track is out and about. So why bother with this Sound Track? The Music in Soul Eater is very distinct and unique. I've noticed the music on Soul Eater more than in Code Geass R2. That's saying something. The tracks are very good. Probably better than the Darker than Black OST but who says I'm to judge that. My favourite track would have to be Psychedelic Souljam. It's so upbeat, catchy, can listen to it hours on end. The Black Star track is pretty awesome I think. Have a listen, tell me what you think!

This week kicks off the new season of network TV shows, not that things really get into full swing u

This week kicks off the new season of network TV shows, not that things really get into full swing until October. Nonetheless, here is what my fall viewing schedule is looking like, though things might rapidly change depending on how well each series does in keeping my interest.

Mondays

NBC: Chuck. Season two after a short first season due to the writer's strike. What is to become of Chuck now that he is no longer going to be needed by the government????

Of possible interest is NBC's third season of Heroes and FOX's Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles (2nd season) and their mid-season series Dollhouse, from Joss Whedon, creator of Firefly.

Tuesdays

CBS: N.C.I.S. Season six, premieres September 23rd. The team was split up, with Tony, Tim, and Ziva being reassigned and Gibbs was given a new team. How are we going to get them all back together again?

Of possible interest will be ABC's Eli Stone (2nd season, premiering Oct. 14th), FOX's Fringe (premiering September 9th), and CBS' The Mentalist (which looks like a pathetic rip-off of USA's Psych) and Without A Trace. Hard to say if any, but especially the latter two, will be worth anything.

Wednesday

ABC: Pushing Daisies. Second season. Premieres October 1st. Quirky, fun, colourful, vivid! At the end of a very short first season, we found out that Charlotte mother was still alive. Not too mention that sicko after her, convinced she smells strange. And this season Charlotte's secret is out, as people discover that she is alive, and then she and Ned become involved in some very odd and dangerous conspiracy centered on them and bees...

FOX: Bones. Fourth season. Premiered September 3rd. Not much of a beginning, but this epsiode and the next two were actually part of the back half of season three and were moved to season four, so, well, that's it. There really is no explanation for poor writing and lackluster plots. Hopefully, the season will improve... I really want to see the Grave Digger issue brought to a satisfying conclusion. I cannot believe that they have left that hanging for so long, especially after what happened to Brennan and Jack. I would have thought that a) they would have been a bit more traumatized, and b) that they would have been more driven to catch the creep. Angela promised Jack, who was the only one that seemed really shaken by the event, that they were going to get him. That was two seasons ago. They are way past due concluding that storyline!

Thursdays ~ Possibly ABC's Ugly Betty or CBS' Eleventh Hour will be of interest, but I cannot say that I hold high hopes for either.

Fridays

CBS: Numb3rs. Fifth season. Premieres September 26th. I am not sure how they are going to fix the mess they made of last year's finale, but they had better. Charlie lost his clearance, over an issue that did not seem properly nor sufficiently motivated, but more of a plot device than anything else, and so now he can't work with Don.

NBC: Life. Second season. Um, well, I hope he can solve the murder that he was wrongfully accused of, even though he has a lot of opposition.

And for those lucky enough to have cable access

Sci Fi: Sanctuary (Season One) and Stargate Atlantis (Fifth and Final season) And Eureka (season 3), but I believe that is still on Tuesdays.

USA: Monk (season 7) and Psych (season 3)

I have to wait for the DVDs, but at least then we can watch them all closer together...

Quote of the Day: "The encounter with the beautiful can become the wound of the arrow that strikes the heart and in this way opens our eyes." H.H. Pope Benedict XVI

Man this series is back! I love the over the top forensic stuff that seems popular now. personally I ever got too much into the CSI stuff for some reason but got really attached to others, like this series. However outrageous this series is, I always like the fact that it could make sense, but perhaps it's is due to my ignorance on the topic of bones. That itself is really one of the main reasons why I don't like CSI I guess, and it is because I know there gadgets and stuff are not very realistic.

Speaking of very not realistic gadgets, the one one is Bones that ticks me off the most is that holographic things they show now and then. Really lurks me when they show it because I wish it was real! Sadly, it isn't :(

The first two episodes in season four have the cast in London and investigating two murders. Refreshing to see a scene change to another country. Really love those British accents for some reason :D

The two episodes were kind of tied together too, and with the ending of the second 'episode', it is clear that the next episodes they shoot will be set in the DV area once again. Cannot wait till next week for more episodes

On Tuesday night, I was scuttling around packing canned meat and candles into a backpack and racing for a fenced wilderness fortress. Not because yet more hurricanes are headed for the coast, but because the seventh sign of the apocalypse had appeared.

I was enjoying the new 90210.

And this is coming from someone who absoultely could not stomach the original (and has trouble in general with soap operas about the traumas of the rich and pampered--I could only make it as far as the mint green suit in this week's Gossip Girl before I gave up in despair). But the dialogue was bouncy and the situations kitschy (drugs in a hollowed-out book! Dum dum duuuuuuum!) and the nods to the original hilariously cheesy. And watching Tristan Wilds, I could squint and almost believe that the saddest kids on The Wire made it out of the slums. It extended past my bedtime, leading me to put off watching the second half until the next day, but I was happily interested in finishing and therefore pretty surprised that the show was almost universally panned the next day.

When I saw the second half--which is really a second episode tacked to the first to create a super-sized premiere--I understood the critical roast. The zest brought by Rob Thomas and Mark Piznarski (the team behind the brilliant Veronica Mars pilot) left the zip code with them, leaving both characters and plot lines thinner than the actresses.

Curiously, the same thing happened during Wednesday's season premiere of Bones. Setting a lot of the action in the UK livened up a pedestrian mystery (with Torchwood's much-killed Suzie, Indira Varma, and Doctor Who's lesser medical student, Oliver Morgenstern, in the person of Ben Righton to entertain the BBC junkies among us), and the long-awaited arrival of Angela's husband provided some intrigue back at the Jeffersonian. The novelty wore off across two hours, however, with the shift to a new mystery feeling very much like a...second episode tacked to the first to create a super-sized premiere.

In both cases, we thought we were getting a treat--extra ice cream for being good kids. But in both cases, slowing down the pacing quickly deflated the excitement. If we'd seen only the first episode of 90210, would the CW have gotten a week of cheese-filled buzz instead of bad reviews? Would Bones fans be talking about whether Brennan's new flirtation would come between her and Booth rather than the fast and inexplicable breakup between Hodgins and Angela if we'd seen only the first half? On the other hand, we fondly remember the one-two punch of seeing both parts of The West Wing's "In the Shadow of Two Gunmen" on the same night. Maybe all that means is that neither 90210 nor Bones (as much as we like it) is as good as The West Wing. But is there anything more to be gleaned here as to when to go for the two-hour premiere and when not to? Because we'd like to think we deserve extra ice cream sometimes.

Sunshine is beautiful. Sun is life giving. So

This blog is called Vitamin D is More than Sunshine.

Sunshine is beautiful. Sun is life giving. So is Vitamin D. Vitamin D is beautiful. Vitamin D is life giving. You can become beautiful at a cellular level. Take your daily Vitamin D3 supplement. Your body and its cells cannot get what the amount truly needed for optimal cellular health. Neither the sun, food, nor dairy products contribute the full amount of the body's hunger for on=going Vitamin D. Read on.

Promise yourself .......please.............that in the very near future...........YOU WILL read and spend about half an hour reading about Vitamin D, as an ESSENTIAL NUTRIENT, reading thus about the human's body ABSOLUTE NEED FOR HIGHer LEVELS OF IT......AT each and every age and stage of life.........pregnancy, infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, elder age;

AND in reading, you'll read more in detail about the human body's dreadful responses possibly occurring to it's deterioration that happens when the human body and our cells and human physiology Does NOT receive its evolutionary NEED for generous daily high levels of AMOUNTS of vitamin D3.

It's been estimated that about 50 to 80 percent of the children, women and men in the entire world are Vitamin D deficient. Pandemic health crisis. New York Times newspaper article called it a pandemic epidemic of shortage of Vitamin D levels in the bodies of people across the entire world.

To read about Vitamin D, here is an authoritative reference to an excellent site........go to the web site title of "Vitamin D Council".........DO Read sections of the many topics related to Vitamin D......READ the Council's current online newsletter....or CLICK on and READ its ARTICLE links................please, do some reading. And........you must have a look at its link that identifies the names of the researchers people professionals on the Vitamin D Council. Smart smart people.

This Blog has been Given this title because as I continue to read more, more ---- about the URGENT human physiological NEED for ALL PEOPLE of all AGES of all racial backgrounds --- to GET more more more more VITAMIN D on a regular daily basis, ----at doses MUCH HIGHER than previously suggested by 'the official RDA standards', ------------

THE time has arrived for every parent, pregnant woman, adult male, female, high schooler, elderly senior, children, toddlers, ..........physician, health care staff....the time has arrived for each adult to educate ourselves WISELY and PROMPTLY on significant health possible by answering to the evolutionary need of the human body for high levels of Vitamin D.

ALERT: Why am I fascinated with this topic? Because........there is a great deal of human suffering that could be lessened.... physical pain, autoimmune conditions, arthritis, depression, multiple sclerosis, asthma, autism, chronic bain, ............

I began listening carefully to the health announcements made during the national evening news. Since Jan 1, 2008, I'd estimated that twice a week, I've heard something on the evening news about the need for people to increase Vitamin D by taking supplements daily. I started taking it in March 2008 to see if I'd feel better from the complex symptoms of winter's seasonal affective disorder. Then, I researched, and came across the Vitamin D Council web site. Then I located several books recently written on the topic. Then I began reviewing magazine articles. The consistent thread of Vitamin D as a beautiful, life giving nutrient repeated itself like a ray of sunny hope. It works.

.......I witness the truth..........I am SO grateful for the Vitamin D Council site and its excellent information. It was my first reading introduction to the topic.

ALERT: WE cannot and do not get enough sunshine to get the D our bodies truly require.

ALERT: WE cannot and do not get enough Vitamin D through the food we eat.

ALERT: WE cannot and do not get what we need from fortified Milk or dairy products.

And .. guess what........It is just around the corner, ........as autumn darkens and swings into what can be the cold icy damp or bitter cold of winter..........including........depression and physiological stress and depressive seasonal affective disorder, insomnia, anxiety, fatigue, low energy, arthritis pain, inflammation, weight gain, physiological responses to cold weather...........etc. ..

Here's the truth..........once you have read several short articles on Vitamin D, you'll wonder how quickly you'll be able to get to the store to Purchase Vitamin D3 in its bottle. Or,.. maybe you'll want to wait until it gets put on sale.

HOW TO BUY VITAMIN D: When you look at the bottle, ...it will say Vitamin D3...or...MAKE sure it does say D3...........You MUST look at the units per tablet. It's rather a waste of money to purchase the size of 400 I.U.'s per tablet........Your best buy is purchasing the I.U. of 2000 per tablet. Many stores, like Walgreen's, often has a buy one, get one free sale, different brands. Look at the bottle to see that it is the D3 type of vitamin D. Your calcium tablets sometimes contain 400 I.U. ... but 400 is not an adequate dosage daily, per the opinion of the smart expert researchers.

THIS iPURCHASE is an excellent investment in treating and preventing many long and short term degenerative and chronic conditions, diseases, pain, circumstances, ..............including depression, seasonal affective disorder, pain from arthritis, etc...........A bottle of 100 at the 2000 I.U. units in Minnesota is about 11 dollars. If you buy on sale at buy one, get one free, that's a great deal.

The time for winter is upon us; the days get short, the sun is low, the curtains get drawn....Within a short time after the chill of autumn sets in, our Vitamin D levels, maybe raised because of summer's sun, begin to drop...and drop...decreases.....until, at the end of winter, Vitamin D levels in the typical labratory drawn human blood test will read at at least half of what it would have read in September. In other words, once September arrives, we fall and fall and fall into the slippery slope of spiralling Vitamin D deficiency in our body.

I continue to be amazed at how misinformed, how uneducated, how ignorant, how incorrect, HOW LACKING IN INFORMATION we ALL are on 'how' seriously important it is THAT our body GETS the VITAMIN D it needs............

What we've been told about "how" we get Vitamin D......What we've been told has been half-truths, misinformation, wrong information.........even people in Florida and Arizona, the sunshine states are Vitamin D deficient because the heat of the sun or humidity keeps people out of the sun.

One article I read said that if the sun were to be used as a source for Vitamin D, ... it would mean being outdoors 3 times a week, for 20 to 30 minutes WITH 30 percent of your body skin exposed........But in more than half the United States, only the summer sun would do so if you lived in high sun, southern location states.

OF COURSE.., the farther north any of us live in the United States, the weaker the sun, so the 'rule' of 'how to get Vitamin D from the sun" Simply does NOT work effectively in northern climates.

Vitamin D is a fat soluble substance that actually is more hormone like in its cellular behavior, wisdom, activity, and healing/preventive qualities. It cannot be stored in the body during long winter months. That is why taking it daily, or in large doses several times a week is needed.

More later.

The tags related to this article represent only a small portion of the medical conditions mentioned in articles and writings done by Vitamin D researchers. .........medical conditions related to either Vitamin D defiency, and/or, medical conditions that can be improved upon WITH proper Vitamin D supplements taken daily.

Well, we've got a start on our new way of disposing our household and food waste.

Yesterday we got our composters dug out. They obviously hadn't been used in a while. They were too overgrown with no path to them. But they're cleared out now and are being fed regularly.

In our freezer we have a pail for meat and bones. Honestly, we're not sure what we're going to do with those, but freezing them will give us time to think about it. We have two dogs, but that's an awful lot of people food to be giving them. Our one dog has a very sensitive stomach and I know he wouldn't handle it well.

And lastly for today, we purchased a water dispenser and a bottle of water. This is not only going to save us money, it's also going to cut down on our plastic recycling and help the environment at the same time.

So, all in all, it's been a good day so far!

.....good, not great. For me, it seemed like there was way too much going on, yet not enough going on all at the same time. Does that make any sense? For one part of the hour, Bones and Booth were trying to solve the murder of a wealthy American heiress. I'm not sure we ever truly found out who murdered the poor girl, but I think it may have been the butler. It doesn't really matter because the first murder was just a set up for the second murder of the evening, Dr. Ian Wexler, Bones' British friend and colleague. The whole mystery seemed uninspired to me mostly because it's hard to care about a character that you've just been introduced to.

Back at the Jeffersonian, Angela's ex-husband shows up, creates drama, then decides to leave (but not before sleeping with Dr. Saroyan). What?! The really confusing part is that this drama causes Angela and Hodgins to break up over lunch at the diner. The conclusion they came to happened in a matter of minutes. However, it's hard to care about all of this because of the void left by Zack. I knew I would miss him in the lab, but I didn't think it would have this much of an effect on the show. I know there will be a revolving door of interns trying to snag his position, but as I have mentioned before, Michael Badalucco as an older intern does not interest me.

i'm still not done with my singapore entry yet. in the meantime, check out my pics here. however, i'm doing a pre-weekend update because i don't want to finish the week without posting some things that have gone through my mind these past few weeks.

i'm gaining weight. ugh!!! i guess my sad, depressed, i don't have an appetite phase is gone and has been replaced by an ooooh, that looks yummy! phase. i really should stop eating fast food for lunch (and dinner). i'm also going to limit my alcohol intake for the next months. no more drinking without an excuse which means i'll only drink in parties. too bad i have at least 4 parties i promised to go to in the next two weeks. :(

i think i've pretty much proven that i'm not good with handling my own money. haay... i really do have to start learning how to use my credit card wisely. oh well, this is certainly a learning experience for me and my spending habits. it's irritating because other credit cards keep on calling me here on my office line. i keep turning them down and yet they keep calling. grrr...

i haven't thrown a disc in quite a while, two weeks to be exact. that's why i'm so glad training has resumed. i would've gone last tuesday but my mom was here so i had to head home early. i hope my throws don't suck too much tonight, though! i'm super psyched for the upcoming malakas&maganda league!!! i love it when we play all womens!!! ;)

when we were in singapore a part of me really wanted to buy a DSLR. i know, i know, it's another camera expense. but i want one!!! hahaha. no worries though, i'm scheduling buying a new DLSR for next year. this year, i'm getting myself a pink sony vaio. ;) hehehe.

clare nominated me for the brillante weblog premio 2008. not sure how it really works but here's the description from her blog: Brilliant Weblog is a prize given to sites and blogs that are smart and brilliant both in their content and their design. The purpose of the prize is to promote as many blogs as possible in the blogsphere. thanks for the nomination clare! i'm very flattered. :)

90210

i watched the season premiere of this because i was curious. it does look really interesting. one comment though... the girls here are so skinny, as in anorexically thin!!! i mean, i think my forearm is bigger than their upper arms. i think it's okay to have one skinny character but to have all three lead characters look this skinny isn't really setting a good example for teenagers out there. tsk tsk tsk. on the up side, i'm glad that Jennie Garth is back and isn't super skinny. she's beautiful.

the first two episodes of this were really funny!!! hahaha. bones & booth go to london and booth just hates it there! i'm looking forward to more of this!!!

p.s. if you're wondering how i find time to watch these tv episodes, i don't actually watch them but listen to them while i work. hahaha! i'm so excited for all the other tv shows i enjoy like house and grey's anatomy! woot!!! ;)
